1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

5. What's the characteristics about porcelain tiles and glazed tiles?

Glazed tiles are colorful, the effect is rather diverse, stain-slip, abrasion resistance but worse than the porcelain tiles. Long-term use may wear a large surface; porcelain tiles have the higher degree, long hard wear surface. Good performance and stable cleanup (before playing the best times to use the wax to improve stain resistance). The porcelain tiles are weaker performance in non-slip than glazed tiles. We should take attention on its anti-slip properties, face down in a tiled brick water testing.

Q: How many pieces of a tiles are there in general?
Look at the specifications! General 600 * 600 4 pieces 800 * 800 3 pieces, some thick brick 2 pieces
Q: Trying to select floor tile to match kitchen and rest of downstairs living area (dining, living, family rooms). I have a lot of natural light in all areas. I have light oak kitchen cabinets. I just installed granite counter tops named Golden Desire but I have yet to install tile back splash. What color tile would I choose for the kitchen and throughout the living area. Thanks
A natural stone look tile will look good for years to come and still remain neutral to work around. Sofas, chairs, paints ,wall paper etc..Some larger tiles( 12x12 and larger) come w/ a small (6x6 for example) to do on your backsplash. Tossing in some scrape granite in your BS to tie counter in w/ BS.. Some interesting changes you might loo at is to change to a different color of tile at doorways/ archway but stay in the same tile style just a different color of the same tile. Tou can break it up at arch/door w/ a stone listello to add a cheap flair GL
Q: I used acetone on my tile to get up some hair dye and it stained the tile white where the acetone was. i know now that i probably shouldn‘t have done this so please just answer question. How do i fix it?
Without knowing what kind of tile you're talking about, it's hard to give an accurate answer. Because your tile was blemished by the acetone, I assume it is a matte finish tile, which will absorb moisture. You will probably have to replace the tile. First, go to a tile or flooring store, explain what you did and what happened and see what they recommend. As for fixing the tile, if you haven't removed old grout, fractured and removed a tile, cleaned out old thinset, laid new thinset, the tile, and grouted, I suggest you leave this to a professional.
Q: My bathroom in my new house has the ugliest green tile halfway up the wall and then a different shade of green tile on the floor. My husband I have a little experierience with fixing stuff up, but this one has us puzzled. We want to tear the tile down and put up drywall. Then we‘d like to carpet the floor. We haven‘t got the nerve yet cause we don‘t know what to expect behind those tiles on the wall. Got ANY suggestions in my little dilemma???
Well, if you have a little experience, all u have to do is chisel off the tile, then just cut out the wall behind the tile too because it is either cement board, or it will have way too much glue behind it to even bother getting it all off. After the tile is gone, just cut a nice straight line and replace the wall behind the tile. You should more than likely need 1/2 inch drywall depending on the thickness or your original wall. Its not hard at all to do, so just grab a claw hammer and a chisel and have at it. The removal should only take an hour or 2 depending on the size of the room, and from there its all downhill. If you need help on doing the actual drywall, drop me a email and i'd be glad to help! Have at it, just make sure when knocking out the old wall not to hit any pipes!! Hope this helped! Good luck with your project!!!
Q: There is a white ceramic tile floor with white grout in my bathroom. Some of the mastic (I think it was a combination mastic and grout, that could be used either way) is on top of the tile and dried on. Is there any way I can get it off there other than trying to chip at it and possibly ruin the tile?
You need to clean off all the mastic from the wall and the soap dish and use thinset. The mastic will not dry in the shower. After you get it back on avoid getting it wet for a couple days.
Q: Hexagonal tiles of side 20cm are used to tile a room that measures 6.25m by 4.85m. Assuming we complete edges by cutting up tiles how many tiles are needed?
A general rule of thumb is to order 10% more tile than your normal square footage to allow for such cuts, etc.
Q: why is waterproofing done before grouting?why do we need to let the mortar/adhesive dry before grouting?
Should the grout come away it can damage underneath especially in shower areas. You should use green moisture resistant plasterboard but ideally cement board on top as it is waterproof and perfect for tiling. Grout will eventually become discoloured and fall away over time in wet areas. Using correct technique in applying adhesive ( notched trowel or plastic notched spreader ) evenly and working within you capability will give you a good result, many try to do too much in one go....which is Ok for the professional. This way the tile will not come away. When applying tile on adhesive try a slight twisting motion to firm the tile in place, by placing finger on the front of tile....Important allow tile adhesive to dry fully before applying grout it takes 12 hrs approx as manufacturers spec. If tile when tapping makes a different sound (kinda hollow sound) it is loose and will need to be removed. Scrap out old adhesive and redo. Tip: Buy sealer (spray for grout) in excessively wet areas as it will extend the grout life and very good for shower areas. You can but sealer applicators but slow....mask and vent out when using spray as not good to breathe in and smell at first....
Q: Can you suggest any methods to clean the floor and wall tiles?
muriatic acid, but be careful it will eat the grout out if mixed to strong
Q: I purchased a house that came with a pool. The drawback is that tile is covering the outside of the pool which makes it extremely slippery for my family and guests. What a good solution to this challenge? Lastly, what‘s going to be the best and cheapest alternative to this? Someone mentioned to me that the rubbery mats they use at restaurants works very well, but I need to know the best and cheapest alternative.Suggestions?
If your swimming pool area has not been treated it probably is a liability because untreated areas are slippery. The risk increases dramatically when the tiles are wet and that’s when slip and fall accidents happen. Many accidents are happening on a daily basis where adults and children are falling as a result of slippery, wet surfaces that are being walked on. Swimming pools should be a fun place but this has to be balanced with safety. Whether you are an adult or a child there is significant danger associated with tiling around pools!
Q: I only have a couple of tiles in my shower to grout. I bought some pre-mixed tile grout from Home Depot. It says on the back NOT FOR USE IN SHOWER OR UNDERWATER. I called home depot and they said it would work if I were to seal it. As many know sealer is very expensive and I‘m only doing a couple of tiles that will be exposed to water. Do I have to seal this? I understand there exist grout with sealer already inside.....
Sealer, sealer, sealer... It's like the magic solution for everything now. The most important thing about what you are doing is the adhesive for the tile. Make sure it can handle the water. And spread it thick... let the tile squeeze it out and wipe out the excess. You cannot have air bubbles under the tile. The steam will expand the air in that bubble (1,000 times it's cold volume) and pop the tiles. As for grouting between the joints: consider using caulk instead. You can specially order (at the hardware store) tinted and colored caulks. In a shower, there is no better solution. I bought a grout remover tool and took out the grout in my tile shower then installed a light sand colored caulk 15 years ago. I never sealed the glazed tile and it still looks good.
