Physical properties[edit]

Polyethylene is a thermoplasticpolymer consisting of long hydrocarbon chains. Depending on the crystallinity and molecular weight, a melting point and glass transition may or may not be observable. The temperature at which these occur varies strongly with the type of polyethylene. For common commercial grades of medium- and high-density polyethylene the melting point is typically in the range 120 to 180 °C (248 to 356 °F). The melting point for average, commercial, low-density polyethylene is typically 105 to 115 °C (221 to 239 °F).it is transprant.

Chemical properties[edit]

Most LDPE, MDPE and HDPE grades have excellent chemical resistance, meaning that it is not attacked by strong acids or strong bases. It is also resistant to gentle oxidants and reducing agents. Polyethylene burns slowly with a blue flame having a yellow tip and gives off an odour of paraffin. The material continues burning on removal of the flame source and produces a drip.[3] Crystalline samples do not dissolve at room temperature. Polyethylene (other than cross-linked polyethylene) usually can be dissolved at elevated temperatures in aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene or xylene, or in chlorinated solvents such as trichloroethane or trichlorobenzene.[4]

Q: Does the high-rise building have special requirements for the upper and lower water pipes?
The horizontal pipe in the basement of the waste water pipe is a welded steel pipe, the vertical pipe is PVC plastic pipe, and the fire prevention ring is arranged at the through plate.
Q: What's the diameter of the white plastic tube in the kitchen, about 10cm? What should I do if the water leaks?
Glue bonding: to the building materials shop to buy a small bottle of PVC pipe special glue (other glue is not good), and then find a small piece of suitable PVC pipe fragments, will dew point paste firmly.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for vacuum applications?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for vacuum applications.
Q: what is it called when a plastic tube is placed in your rectum and everything is flushed?
Painful
Q: How to mend a hole in a plastic pipe?
A sheet of plastic, the thickness of which is equivalent to the wall of the basin. The material is then sanded with a sand wall and painted with 502 (501) glue. Press it quickly and press it for a few minutes.
Q: Plastic pipes have steam, how to handle dry?
Blow it with a blower or blower. If not, use an air compressor to blow through the compressed air.
Q: Its a hard plastic tube with thin walls.
use a PVC cutter,
Q: We are interested in tubing on a creek with class I to II rapids, so we want something durable to hold up going over rocky patches. Are the 3-layer PVC plastic tubes sold for river tubing and towing behind boats strong enough for that? Or would a black rubber tire from a semi-truck be better?
The Inner-Tube Puncturer, who else? Now I have to get my tube tied. =O
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for storing chemicals or reagents?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for storing chemicals or reagents.
Q: They were little plastic tubes filled water and sometimes little animals. You would try to hold it, the it would go inside-out and fall. They were really popular in the 90's.
Dude i remember seeing those back in Cali in the 90's. They used to be rad haha
