- Q: i recently got started with oil paint, and some of my tubes are leaking quite a bit. i seal the cap well, and there are no holes or anything in the tubes. i read that putting the tubes under extreme heat or sunlight can cause them to leak, but i do neither of these things.how do you prevent/solve this?
- Leaking okorder /... Both of these prevent the dreaded twist and crack that can open up a hole where paint can both leak and be exposed to air. Also treat the caps gently. Make certain to routinely clean off the paint that biulds up around the threads. Wipe this off as opposed to allowing it to dry forcing you to remove it with harsher methods like scraping or using a solvent. Be conscious of the way the cap feels when tightening it on the threads. Sense whether it has derailed or whether the threads are clogged. Paint can build up on the tube threads and/or the threads inside the cap. These caps are fragile and often strip or crack. If a cap gets stuck and the tube body begins to twist while attempting to unscrew the cap run the cap end under hot water until it loosens up. Avoid twisting the tube body. It will tear apart. It is a good idea to save the good caps of old used tubes when they are ready to be trashed. They are not all interchangeable but they might be and it is worth having some around. Replacement caps are not sold by themselves but if you catch a bad cap on a new tube you may have a replacement sent to you by the manufacturer if purchased directly. You could try asking for a complete tube of paint replacement from retailers. I have done both successfully.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for use in the automotive industry?
- Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for use in the automotive industry. Plastic tubes offer several advantages such as being lightweight, resistant to corrosion, and easy to install. They are widely used in various automotive applications, including fuel and brake lines, coolant systems, and air intake systems. Additionally, plastic tubes can be manufactured to meet specific performance requirements and are often more cost-effective compared to other materials.
- Q: How are plastic tubes disposed of?
- Plastic tubes are typically disposed of in recycling bins or facilities that handle plastic waste. However, it is important to check the local recycling guidelines as some tubes may have different recycling requirements due to their composition or size.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for hydroponic systems?
- Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for hydroponic systems. They are commonly used as a conduit to supply nutrient-rich water to the plants' roots in hydroponic setups. Plastic tubes are lightweight, durable, and resistant to water, making them a practical choice for circulating the nutrient solution within the system. Additionally, plastic tubes can be easily configured and customized to fit different hydroponic setups, allowing for flexibility and convenience in designing and maintaining the system.
- Q: How to measure the ends of a building with a transparent hose?
- The construction measure is often used in plastic pipe irrigation in horizontal pipe, using the principle of the connector of the connected device, both ends are open at both ends, water is the same height, close to the end of the elevation, the other end is close to the test site, slowly raise or drop action has a fixed elevation, when it has been on the elevation point the other end of the inside of the water level, height and elevation points are the same height.
- Q: What industries use plastic tubes?
- There are various industries that use plastic tubes, including the healthcare industry for medical devices and packaging, the construction industry for plumbing and electrical systems, the automotive industry for fuel and fluid transfer, the food and beverage industry for packaging and processing, and the cosmetics industry for product packaging.
- Q: I've heard about crop feeding but the website im learning it from suggest that i don't crop feed if i'm not experienced, instead i should just mix the formula, and put it directly into the pigeons mouth. But how do i do this? i know that sounds stupid, but this baby is 2 weeks old and i want to make sure that i do this correctly.thanks
- Crop feeding should be a last effort. I have found the best method for feeding baby birds is to mix the formula to be liquid enough to use a syringe, and feed directly into the mouth of the baby bird. This is a preferred method. The food on the birds tongue triggers the bird to swallow the food. The formula that I would use for a pigeon is the same formula that I would use for a baby parrot. You can purchase the formula at any Pet Smart of pet store. If you use this formula be sure to place it in the microwave for around 10 seconds. Otherwise, it will expand in the crop of the bird. Good luck.
- Q: How do plastic tubes compare to acrylic tubes in terms of transparency?
- Acrylic tubes are generally more transparent than plastic tubes.
- Q: Just wondering if the blue and red coloured sharkbite Pex tubing that is sold in states legal to use in Canada? I'm looking to do the plumbing in my new home and am looking to use this stuff rather than the copper. Thanks for any help
- Can't imagine a problem with code compliance. PEX (plastic extruded tubing) has been used in northern Europe for decades, because it won't split when water freezes inside it -- it just swells up like a sausage, then reverts to it's original shape when thawed. The stuff is made from the same material as trash bags, and it will outlast cockroaches. It won't interact chemically with water or with impurities which might be in the water, it steals less heat from the water than does copper, so the wait for hot water is shorter, and it doesn't transmit sound as readily as copper. Only caveat is to be careful to use quality fittings -- the few problems I've ever heard of with PEX all had to do with inferior or poorly installed elbows, tee fittings, etc. I've used it exclusively for 8 years (well over 100 custom homes) and never had a single problem.
- Q: I adopted two new gerbils yesterday, and they are pretty well adapted so far. They live in an aquarium with a connected bin which is much larger and hold many things to chew on tons of bedding to dig in. These are two of the things they like best. Unfortunately, despite having tons of things to chew on including paper towels, wood blocks (which they don't find the least bit interesting), and cardboard (which is their favorite thing to chew on), one of my gerbils still resorts to chewing on the inside of the plastic tubes connecting the bin to the aquarium. Any ideas on how to stop it? I can't connect them any other way, and the only way they would get to the bin other than the tubes, would be for me to manually place them there (they don't trust me completely yet, but they are curious and have come up and sniffed, walked on my hand). Trying to catch them makes feel like a I'm stressing them out, and making them scared of me. What should I do?
- First of all, aspen isn't good for rodent. Try using Carefresh or atleast pine. U probably think they're eating it but they aren't. They';re probably just putting it inside in their pouch to bring it to their nest or something. My gerbil does that too. So don't worry about it. Maybe you can put more bedding inside thegerbil's nest to save up some work for the gerbil. =)
