Q: i recently got started with oil paint, and some of my tubes are leaking quite a bit. i seal the cap well, and there are no holes or anything in the tubes. i read that putting the tubes under extreme heat or sunlight can cause them to leak, but i do neither of these things.how do you prevent/solve this?
Leaking okorder /... Both of these prevent the dreaded twist and crack that can open up a hole where paint can both leak and be exposed to air. Also treat the caps gently. Make certain to routinely clean off the paint that biulds up around the threads. Wipe this off as opposed to allowing it to dry forcing you to remove it with harsher methods like scraping or using a solvent. Be conscious of the way the cap feels when tightening it on the threads. Sense whether it has derailed or whether the threads are clogged. Paint can build up on the tube threads and/or the threads inside the cap. These caps are fragile and often strip or crack. If a cap gets stuck and the tube body begins to twist while attempting to unscrew the cap run the cap end under hot water until it loosens up. Avoid twisting the tube body. It will tear apart. It is a good idea to save the good caps of old used tubes when they are ready to be trashed. They are not all interchangeable but they might be and it is worth having some around. Replacement caps are not sold by themselves but if you catch a bad cap on a new tube you may have a replacement sent to you by the manufacturer if purchased directly. You could try asking for a complete tube of paint replacement from retailers. I have done both successfully.
Q: What is a tube bird feeder?
Tube feeders are cylindrical in nature, and are made to hang from a branch or some other place, there are single tube feeders that can hold one type of seed, and 3 tube feeders that can hold 3 type of seed and attract more bird types to your back yard. Tube feeders are made of plastic or metal, and some are made to attract special kind of birds, like thistle bird feeder to attract cardinal birds. TUbe feeders can be made for clinging birds, or with perches, so it is important to decide what bird will you like to have in your yard. The size of the tube feeder will also mater.
Q: Answer in units of s
220/13.3=16.5
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for HVAC lines?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for HVAC lines. Plastic tubes, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or PEX (cross-linked polyethylene), are commonly used in HVAC systems for their durability, flexibility, and resistance to corrosion. They can be used for various applications including refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and water supply lines, providing a cost-effective and efficient solution for HVAC installations.
Q: I've been trying to study the types of fittings that are used to transmit fluids and I thought you could help me out with this concepts. Thank you.PS. English is not my first language, that's why I need assistance :D
Answer A: Tubing normally has separate connectors, while hoses have integral/attached connection fittings. Answer B: If you've ever been hosed, you'd know the difference. Think of a rubber or vinyl garden hose or a canvas/cloth fire hose. Now think of copper, plastic or rubber tubing. Used similarly, constructed slightly differently in some cases, sometimes indistinguishable, sort of different ends of a spectrum with a meeting/overlap point somewhere toward the center of the category. Hoses can carry water or liquids, tubing can, also, but is used for gases under pressure, as well. Tubing, to put a fine point on the topic, generally has greater lateral/sidewall rigidity and strength than hoses.
Q: I need to connect some flexible plastic tubing to a hard plastic nozzle both 3/8 outer diameter. It needs to be able to be attached and detached easily (like screwing it in or something), and the seal between them needs to be water tight. Anybody have any ideas? Are there any couplers that can do this easily?. I'd rather not thread the inside of the hard plastic nozzle, but if thats the only way, how do I do that?
they make a great coupler called a SHARK BITE. Go to home depot to get them. Easy on and off as you need
Q: Does anyone know where I can get an aluminum or plastic square tubing with a 0.5 inch nominal diameter? (in other words, I need to find an aluminum or plastic square tube with inside dimensions of 1/2 inch). Thanks in advance!
McMaster-Carr okorder is usually where I go if you need a small length. Almost everywhere you go has a local steer supplier though, they can probably help you out and you can help local business! You might want to re-phrase your question though square tubing with a .5 inch diameter doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I think I know what you mean.
Q: I would like to give all the girls in my daughter's dance company single stemmed roses after they compete in an upcoming dance competition. I tried last year just keeping the flowers in the car in water but that didn't work very well. Plus it was a hassle getting them from the car since I had my daughter's costumes, make up, etc and other props. I would like to this year use those individual water tubes that usually come on single stemmed flowers but I'm not finding them. I am buying for about 30 girls so I need to keep this as affordable as possible. Any ideas on how to create a homemade version or buy them for cheap? I will call a florist but I'm anticipating them not selling to me because they would want me to buy the roses from them (I am just buying about 2 1/2 dozen and doing it myself. Thanks so much!
You might try using plastic tubing and plugging the ends. Glass tubing is another way to go, more durable but also more expensive more work. Glass tubing can be cut to length then closed off on one end by heating in a flame until it pulls together. Large drinking straws could work as well, you could seal the bottoms with an iron by placing the straw between aluminum foil sheets.
Q: How do you connect the white plastic tube with the PPR tube?
I don't know. What's the diameter of the white plastic tube?. The small pipe needs joint.Thick pipe, if it is not tap water, pressure is not the case, you can directly white plastic pipe, hot water, wearing gloves, directly inserted into the pipe PPR tube, five cm or so can be.It's better to have a flamethrower, bake the tube and put it in
Q: Hi, I am looking for a strong tube about the size of a pen that is Non-Conductive and does not melt. I currently use a plastic tube for my project and it will melt and fall apart after 2-3 uses. Please let me know if you have any ideas as to a material of tube and if you can find me a link to buy the tube that would be awesome! Thank you!
the only material i can think of that fits the bill would be a ceramic tube.
