- Not totally sure this would work for you... I'd hate for you to melt the plastic, but it did work for me on a velvet coat. Take a plain brown bag and put it over the wax, take an iron thats set on low or medium and iron it slowly. the bag will absorb the melted wax. you have to turn the bag as it absorbs to get... fresh non waxy bag.
