- This answer is for those who live in Australia. There is an Australian Standard that governs the maintenance of fire extinguishers - AS1851. To comply, you need a tag to record the six monthly checks. Compliance is not necessary in a home situation, only in a commercial environment, or in a strata housing block. The tag is stamped on the month/year it is inspected, with the number 1 through to 5 depending on the nature of the inspection. Local Government enforce the AS1851. An unstamped extinguisher tag might be OK for the first 6 months (if you can prove when you bought it), but it is better if it is stamped, so there is no question that it is compliant. Extinguishers that are older than 5 years must be emptied and pressure tested. Its often cheaper to replace them

- Maybe you can run in a temporary line from the compressor, connected to a branch with a valve. You will have to shut down whatever is on the other end until the connection is made, unless it has a valve fitted for this purpose. Another idea is to get a portable compressor or hire one for temporary use.

A coupling is used to joint these together. Normally a union would be used to make a water tight fit but a sloppy loose connection with a coupling can be done as only a thread or two will be engaged on one connection. (A connection none the less) The key here is that the coupling it over threaded on to one nipple end. The other nipple is placed into the other end of the coupling. This nipple has also been over tightened into its elbow. First back off the overtightened nipple from the elbow. As you unthread from the elbow you will be threading into the coupling. Then switch to the coupling and repeat the process. Unthread the coupling from one nipple and it will tighten on to the other.

- Hi, Yes, electrical safety gloves will keep you safe but don't forget to wear an earthing strap to avoid static electricity damaging the pc components. The max voltage from a psu is only 12 volts so unless you touch the inside on the mains current you will be perfectly safe without the gloves. I have constructed dozens of pc's and never ever had a shock from any yet!! As I believe you are in the USA your mains voltage is only 110volts anyway so that should be safer than the UK at 240v.
