Q: My current bar, my first ever bar, is about 43mm long, but it has a large gap from my ear to the balls, either side (1/2 cm each side)What length(mm) bar should I get now?: There is no way to know, everyone's ear is a different size so length of the bar is going to vary from person to person. Go to another piercer to have them fit jewelry to you.

Q: in the safety scaffolding?: If your talking about jobs, try Gladstone in Queensland or Karratha in WA. Plenty of jobs in safety and scaffolding there. Otherwise I don't know what you mean.

Q: how can you tell is a scaffolding piercing is infected?: Excessive redness extending well beyond the piercing area, hot to the touch, yellow/green pus with an odor.

Q: And how long do you have to keep it on? Any other knowledge I should know?: 8 - 16 weeks - healing time. But with some people it can be alot longer! Clean 3 - 4 times a day. Try cleaning with a mix of tea tree oil and water! It doesn't hurt much :)

Q: Basically iv had my scaffold for around 2 years, it is completely healed. About six months ago i had to take the single bar out and put two separate bars in, i went to the shop i had it done at and they sold me two clear labret bars, at the time i did not realise that these were much thinner than my normal bar and because after time they became brittle and discoloured i changed them to two metal eyebrow bars as a short term solution, i need some advice on what to do regards changing back to a single scaffold bar, i would like to freely be able to change between a single bar and two bars/hoop, but im sure it would cause too much damage to my ear and too much pain to keep stretching it to a scaffold bar to then let it go down and stretch it again i will be needing a single bar at weekends not in the week, what should i do?: To return to the bar, you'll need to go to your piercer to have it reinserted using a small taper. Switching it back and forth from a single bar to hoops is absolutely not recommended because the hoops have a curve and will cause the bar to not fit properly because it will change the angle of the piercing, you can use straight barbell studs that are the same gauge as your single bar though without complication.

Q: I've been wanting an industrial piercing for quite a while now, and thankfully I convinced my parents to let me get it done about two weeks ago. We were on vacation in Florida last week and my mom said I could get it done there if I wanted, so we went into a tattoo shop and asked about it. They told me something I'd never heard before, that they would pierce the holes with hoops and in about a month I could put the barbell in. The piercers told me it would heal a lot easier this way and if the barbell was put in right away I'd end up taking it out because of the pain. This makes sense of course, but I have NEVER heard of it being pierced this way, and once the holes heal, won't they be off in aligning the bar with the piercings, causing me even more pain?They told me if I get it pierced in my home town to tell the piercer to do it the way they suggested but I'm not sure at all. I could take the pain if that was the only issue, but if it would heal better.. I'm not sure. Help? Thanks!: Stretching shouldn't hurt if you're giving it enough time... so this really isn't a good comparison! A single cartilage piercing doesn't hurt much more than your standard earlobe (lobe being 2, cartilage piercing being 3 on a scale of 1 to 10). But I've never had a scaffold or orbital of any kind, so I don't have much first hand experience. Honestly though I wouldn't worry about it. It will be over in 30 seconds, 1 minute tops. And you get to come away with a pretty new piercing! Yay!
