1.Description

Annual production of aluminium foil was approximately 800,000 tonnes (880,000 tons) in Europe and 600,000 tonnes (660,000 tons) in the U.S. in 2003. Approximately 75% of aluminium foil is used for packaging offoods, cosmetics, and chemical products, and 25% used for industrial applications (e.g. thermal insulation, cables and electronics).

In North America, aluminium foil is known as aluminum foil. It was popularized by Reynolds Metals, the leading manufacturer in North America. In the United Kingdom and United States it is, informally, widely called tin foil, for historical reasons (similar to how aluminum cans are often still called "tin cans").Metallised films are sometimes mistaken for aluminium foil, but are actually polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium. In Australia, aluminium foil is widely called alfoil.

Q:List of Materials 1 piece of tarnished silver 1 large pot or bowl 1 or 2 pieces of aluminum foil (to cover the bottom of the pan or dish) Several cups of water to fill the pot or bowl 1 pot to heat the water in 1 pair of kitchen oven mitts (to handle the hot water dish) 1 to 2 boxes of baking soda (estimate about 1 cup per gallon of water)1.Write down the chemical equation for this reversible reactionWhat are the two half-reactions involved in this lab? 3Ag2S(s) + 2Al(s)+ 3H2O(l) gt; 6Ag(s) + Al2O3(s) + 3H2S(aq)got 1 but not 2.Was heat energy lost or gained in this chemical reaction? (Hint: Calculate Eo for the half-reactions in question 1)3.What occurred when the reaction stopped? when the removal has stopped, the reaction has reached equilibriumAnd silver is being plated out just as fast as it's being tarnished.6.What served as the catalyst in this experiment?7.What are some other objects that work through the use of electrochemical cells?
Insulation does not use energy it conserves itOnly things that use energy would be energy efficientInsulation is measured in its resistance to heat passing throughFiberglass insulation has a lower R value than some of the rigid foam insulationsSome of the foam insulations are water resistant If the cabin in in the woods solar energy will not be of much use to you to generate electricityYour simplest solution is a generator, but it may be too noisyYou might get enough power to a solar panel to power your computer and work around other electrical needs For washing clothes you can soak them and then hand wash themThere is a hand washing machine that does a reasonably good job For lights you can use candles, or kerosene lamps For purifying water you could use any number of solutionsOne of the lowest cost with a large supply would be a slow sand filter For immediate needs start at a local camping supply store.
Q:Hey guy'sI'm doing a research paperI'm using these materials:1.Paper towels (6)2.Newspaper (6)3.Aluminum foil (6)4.Bubble wrap (6)5.Ice (10)6.Bowlits okay if the materials aren't here, i heard dry ice doesn't melt, i need these info's tooand why doesn't ocean freeze?
i would wrap it in foil, then wrap it in bubble, then newspaper, then paper towels (the foil is the main insulator of keeping cold in) and.place it under a bowl turned upside down.
Q:Every time I make cookies, they always end up sticking onto the baking sheetI use a nonstick sheet and sometimes, I grease the sheet with oil, but they always end up really hard to removeSometimes, big pieces will fall off when I try to remove the cookies and sometimes, they stick so bad have to scrape them offHow do I keep them from sticking and make them easy to remove?
with out insulation it is not insulated
Q:Have BMW used a cheap source to manufacture their alloy wheels,Live and learn cheap aluminium can have air pockets when cast into a shape. The problem is that the cracks go across the rims, this must be Dangerous,
You can say that again; somebody messed up big time.!!
Q:that people find repugnant and would not buy if they knew what the actual ingredient was
it is not goodAlmost all the calories come from sugar, but often this is added sugar and not from applesPlus fermented sugar is not as healthy (even if it were from the fruits) as it owuld be if you just ate a fruit (which is comprised of natural sugars which ARE healthy)I would stay away from itHowever if you really like it it's not the end of the worldThere are certainly no real benefits though.
Q:What can an aluminum foil bag hold?
(2) food packaging: milk, rice, meat, fish, aquatic products, meat, Roasted Duck, Roasted Chicken, roast pork, frozen food, ham, bacon, sausage, cooked meat, pickled vegetables, bean paste, spices and incense, durability, security flavor, color retention.

Q:How to make paper mache look smooth?
Make another layer of paper mache slurry: Soak a roll of cheap toilet paper in a bowl of water/white glue mix (about 50/50)Once the TP falls apart, you can use it like a slurry - a paste that you can use to fill all the dimplesThe TP slurry should feel about the same consistency as pancake batter when the mixture is rightSpread the paste over the unit with your hands, shaping and smoothing as you goWhen it's dry, sand it again for smoothness.
Q:I have a tahoe Q3 fish/ski that I love, but I'd like to do some pond hopping and lake hopping, and would like to get one of those small aluminum boats that can hold 1-4 people, where you can put a 5-15 HP engine on the back to scoot around a bitI've gone to a few boat shops and looked online but for some reason I'm not having any luckDo they have a specific name? Where can I buy one?
Rarely will you find a pure element in natureThe interaction of chemicals causes so many things to happen, plus your aluminum foil is full of impurities from the smelting and suchAluminum is an element, aluminum foil is a compound.
