1.Description
Annual production of aluminium foil was approximately 800,000 tonnes (880,000 tons) in Europe and 600,000 tonnes (660,000 tons) in the U.S. in 2003. Approximately 75% of aluminium foil is used for packaging offoods, cosmetics, and chemical products, and 25% used for industrial applications (e.g. thermal insulation, cables and electronics).
In North America, aluminium foil is known as aluminum foil. It was popularized by Reynolds Metals, the leading manufacturer in North America. In the United Kingdom and United States it is, informally, widely called tin foil, for historical reasons (similar to how aluminum cans are often still called "tin cans").Metallised films are sometimes mistaken for aluminium foil, but are actually polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium. In Australia, aluminium foil is widely called alfoil.

- Q: I got a recipe off of the net this morningCan't remember what site I got it off of and only jotted down basic info (loosen breast skin rub under skin with butter, salt and pepper skin, then bake at 475 for 20 mins then lower temp to 250 and bake an additional 20 mins/lb in a covered roaster (covered the whole time).1I don't have a covered roasting pan so I put it in a pan and covered it with aluminum foil.will this make a difference?2I'm afraid at the end it won't be crisp brown skin because it's been covered the whole time.will the skin brown and crisp? If no, what can I do to make it that way without drying the bird out?Sorry, I'm a turkey idiot :).Thanks in advance.

- Q: I bough my son chicken and turkey but it ends up dry I tried on top of the stove and baked so any one have any tips its not for puree either
- Well, since kids really shouldn't have salt and creamed soups or stocks (they are really high in sodium), I wouldn't recommend thatI have a toaster oven, I broil small chicken breasts cut in half on a sheet of aluminum foilCurl the ends up around the chicken so the juices stay inBroil it for 5 minute increments, because the chicken is small and cut in half, it won't take any time to cookBasically, just watch that the top of the chicken is fully white without it turning golden brown on the outsideTest it by cutting it openThe inside should be whiteThis is how I cook my 8 month old daughter's chickenI then dice it up and she feeds herselfVery simple!
- Q: Is it ok to use aluminum foil over a cookie sheet or will that screw it up? My cookie sheet is kind of old / dirtyI don't have a mixer, but I have a food processor.to whip the butter and combine all the ingrediants, can I use a food processor with the plastic blade? Thanks
- Reynolds came out with foil that things don't stick to as easily, but spray the foil with PAM or somethingYou could use butter but then the cookies might be too buttery.depends how much is in your recipe Some cookie sheets have a special design that supposedly makes your cookies more moist or something, but grandma made these same cookies on a big flat slab of steel so I wouldn't worry too much about putting foil over the sheet - even if you have one of these special onesI wouldn't use the food processor because it's not going to work as well as a mixer or your handjust leave the butter out for a few hours so you can do it yourselfThe food processor is going to be hard to clean and also, it's gonna mix the lower 2 inches of your cookies too much, while the rest of the batter might not get mixedI guess it depends on the size and amount of your batter - but I am predicting standard food processor and the standard 1 cup oats cookie recipeHave fun!
- Q: Basically we have to make a quot;Careers in biologyquot; information booklet that will be placed in gyuidance.needs a front cover back and table of contents.5 careers in totalhow could i make it more interesting and creative???
- You don't have to clean the grill every time other than a brushing of the grilling surface every timee)I usually only clean my grill twice a yearOnce after the harsh winter months from where it has sat and once at the end of the summerTruth is, just the brushing is great, and the food tastes better after a summer of cookingThe heat will kill the bacteria.
- Q: Is it better to freeze or dry orange/citrus zest?
- why bother goin to the gym and pay money? Invite a few friends over and have a game of b-ball, soccer, etcits so much funOr, just plug in your favorite tunes and danceI dance and exercise for 30 minutes every day.
- Q: I have cubed up some butternut squash and tossed it with chopped onion and seasoningI threw a little (1/4c) water in there and covered the casserole with aluminum foilIt's been baking at 350 for a whileI just checked it, almost done, not evenlySome pieces are still hardShould I take off the aluminum foil for the last 20 min or will that just dry it out???
- im not sure, but im pretty sure it would be smart to throw it outMaybe 1 week expired is fine, but a whole year? probably unsafe
