Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:

(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

Q: chemical composition of iron metal without carbon
Who says metal is dead? Sure, mainstream metal has gotten terrible and shot itself in the foot since the 90's (Metallica post-black album) but heavy metal is alive and well. Only problem is we have so many mental genres that people jumble together in this musical clusterfu**. We have Bullet For My Valentine fans who breathe My Chemical Romance and Led Zeppelin in the same sentence.
Q: I have to find information of second row transition metals [RU,Fe..]Does anyone knows where ?thank u...
i dont listen to quite all this, but i do indulge in the metal music i like kamelot-power metal leaves eyes- viking, symphonic, and neo-classical epica-symphonic NIN-industrial(in a way maybe more alt.) LOG- seen them labled as groove black metal(least favorite genre) cradle of filth and dimmu borgir anthrax-speed theroin-goth What would you lable decapitated as? their album nihility is amazing eluveitie-folk metal Zeppelin gotta fit in here somewhere they are more than just classic rock well thats all i can lable, my mind is about to explode like a stack of marshals turned up to 50........THOUSAND
Q: Why is it difficult to classify hydrogen as a metal or non metal?
what are you trying to do or eliminate ? thin metal will vibrate making sound pass 'through' it thick metal will deaden sound as the vibrations of the music are not able to vibrate the metal so therefore the sound is 'killed' much the same way a wood wall will vibrate and a brick one will not
Q: What is a heavy metal?I've heard the term so often, but im not sure what exactly it is
This is why people hate nu metal and nu metal fans, same with metal core fans. They think their music is 'sooooo br00tal' in comparison to bands like Slayer, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Kreator, Sodom, etc. Thrash metal is better. People discriminate against Slipknot because its not the heaviest thing out there, and Slipknot's 12 year old fans try to make it out to be.
Q: I have to put the follwing metals in their respective enginnering catogeries, please can someone tell be the engineering catogeries that exsist. The metals are as follows:Galvanised SteelMild SteelCopperTin Plated Mild SteelAluminium (L72) - DuraluminBrassLeadThermosetting PlasticButile Rubber
I've just now read zinc, lead, brass, and nickel are all toxic to parakeets. Rust is also toxic to them.........Stainless steel is safe. Steel is attracted to a magnet, so I would remove anything metal that isn't attracted to a magnet. ......It says plastic is safe, though I still wonder if there are different sorts of plastic. It does say PCV is safe.....I'm reading from a couple of different websites.
Q: Also, can you list some metal groups you think are particularly 'Eavy?
heavy metal has lots of genre, i started out listen to pop and punk rock but i suddenly shift into the metal genre a couple of years ago, depends on what you like, if you like songs that talks about fantasy and epic stories and inspires you listen to power metal, if you like awesome guitar or instruments solo listen to death metal, if you like awesome screaming and growls listen to black metal, if you like folk music or folk instruments listen to folk metal, if you like vikings or pirates listen to viking metal or pirate metal just to name a few
Q: besides metallica,jimi hendrix,kiss ,slipknot,ac/dc,can u name some good bands?
The luster of metals depends on the molecular strucure of the substance as well as the state of refinement that metal is in. Copper, for instance, in its ore form, looks like someone smashed a crapload of old rusty pennies together. After refinement, it looks as shiny and orange as Zach Effron's skin. The phenomenon of something appearing shiny, of course, is caused by the reflection of light off the substance hitting the eye. If something is dull, it likely has small bumbs or ridges on the surface, causing the light to be diffused rather than reflected in a straight beam.
Q: i was listening metal and rock since i was 5...i loved it so much...but there is one thing that i just couldn't understand...really quot;what is the difference between death and heavy metal??quot; i am sure that death metal have a lot of screaming in every song, but i just cannot figure that out!.. :P thank again..
a metal is a chemical element whose atoms readily lose electrons to form positive ions (cations), and form metallic bonds between other metal atoms and ionic bonds between nonmetal atoms.[ and Metalworking is the process of working with metals to create individual parts, assemblies, or large scale structures
Q: is it a metal that acts like a non-metal or other way around?
Magnetism has to do with unpaired electrons. Electrons spin clockwise or counter clockwise. Generally they are paired. When they are not they create magnetism. Iron has 3 unpaired electrons and demostrates tahe greatest magnetism. cobalt and nickle also demonstrate some magnetism. Also, some of the rare earths and some alloys such as Alnico and steel. RECENTLY, several papers have been published on the use of polarized light for revealing the grain structure of metals and alloys. Hone and Pearson1 showed that by examining under polarized light a polished aluminium surface which had been anodized in a suitable electrolyte, the grain structure was revealed, differently oriented grains appearing with different brightnesses. Woodward2, by etching 'Monel' metal in a specific reagent, has found similar effects. Polished surfaces of aluminium and 'Monel' metal, being optically isotropic, do not react to polarized light as do the optically anisotropic surfaces of tin, zinc, cadmium, etc., and the above authors1,2 have attributed the optical anisotropy of the anodized aluminium and etched 'Monel' metal to the anisotropic properties of the surface film formed during anodizing or etching. Although this explanation may be correct, there is a possible alternative which involves the surface contour of the specimen, for it is well known that if pearlite is examined under polarized light no reaction occurs unless the specimen is etched. This has been shown convincingly by Baeyertz3 to be due to the presence of fine parallel grooves on the surface, formed by etching away the ferrite and leaving the cementite lamell? in relief. Furthermore, Jones4 has shown that polarization effects can be produced by deeply etching a metal surface.
Q: Can any modern metal detectors (civilian or otherwise) estimate the amount of metal it is detecting? If this is true, can it also detect the amount of each individual metal it detects?Example: If a penny was buried, could a metal detector tell the user that it detects X amount of copper, etc?
