- Q: My bathroom size is 7 ‘*11 ‘. If I want to use 20*20 tiles, will it look good? I want to use bigger tiles because I don‘t like grouts. Can we put anything to make the tile not so slippy?
- The tile will look fine if you do either a diagonal pattern or an off set look Off set pattern can be either a brick look,like every other row 1/2 tile offset from the other row or you can do every row 1/4 of a tile of set. This helps break up the bigger tile in a smaller area. Using these types of patterns ( off set) you can use a minimal grout grout (1/8) to make the grout be less. Use a grout that matches the tile.Medium colored grouts show that least day to day dirt. Seal the grout well and it ll stay cleaner longer . If the floor is properly prepped,and the tile set properly, they won t crack as some one suggested. There are a few products that you can use on ceramics to make them less slippery. One is called B-Safe, made for commercial kitchens . But you can only do so much to make tiles less slippery when water gets on them. - Q: Ok so our bathroom is old and crappy and the faucet in the shower always come off. I was taking a shower and when i went to put back the body wash it fell and must have landed on the faucet and the faucet came off and two tiles along with it. The tiles are broken into little pieces. My mom is gonna be mad but it wasn‘t even my fault im so scared =(

- lady, wait till u get a ton of money, i really think that painting over ceramic tile will work, it will only ware off, now u might invistigate on a paint espeacailly for tile, and that is also costly.... another idea, get a equity loan, if u are able too. ok hope i helped u a little.

- it isn't really as easy as you'd think. 1. create a background 2.make sure to check the box labeled Use as tile set 3.open up the room you want the tiles to appear in 4.there should be some tabs below the upper left corner 5.click on Tiles 6.under the big gray blank space(wich is just below the tabs) there should be a place to select the tile you want to use 7.after selecting the tile the gray empty space should show the tile. 8.click in the room on the spot you want the tile. remember, tiles are basicly drawings. so objects sometimes go over or under them. experiment with the layers to solve this :)

- Q: I am planning on laying down tile in my dining room and kitchen. I recently saw an offset pattern with 12x12 tiles and liked it. I‘ve now decided to go with the same offset pattern but with 20x20 ceramic tiles. Would I still have to find the center of the room and start tiling out from the center or can I just start at one wall and go from there since i‘ll be using the offset pattern? Thanks in advance.

- Q: What procedure to use to keep the tiles from falling from the ceiling before the mortar dries.
- I was just thinking about this. Can you attach the tiles to backerboard or Durrock on the ground first and then glue the whole ceiling into place with 2x4 proping it up or leave a couple tiles out to also catch a few screws with the construction adhesive. later you can touch up around the edges and grout If NotHow about contact cement use alot of it though not a thin coat. OH and don't use mortar use construction adhesive it will actually stick and better then mastic. Mortar is for the floor
- Q: can you use marble tile for counter top
- Counter Top. Marble tiles (although expensive) crack w/in time. Luckily they now have imatation marbel tiles. You should look into them.
