- Q: I have a t-mobile phone and a plan. But i'm only a year into my contract. I don't want to change the plan but i want to change the phone. I was wondering if i can buy the phone i want from t-mobile which is a SIDEKICK LX- carbon. and just insert my SIM CARD into it and use it. Will it work if i just put my SIM card into it? and will i be able to access the network AIM. i don't need anything else. i just want to be able to receive and send calls and log into AIM, keep the same phone number and listen to my music thats it. can someone help me out plz. - I also have t-mobile and they have good customer service well if you buy one for t-mobile i think you can buy the full price which about $200 or they could extend your contract and give it to you with a discount. I would rather just buy the phone. Not having a contract makes you monthly bills a little lower for like 20 less. It does have AIM so don't worry and yes you can just insert the Sim card to you new phone with the same number.
- Q: i wanted to know how refurbished T-Mobile phones are. How they're wear and tear comes and if they have any problems with signals or buttons or anything like that. I was looking at the Samsung Vibrant in the refurbished form and also the HTC mytouch 3G slide! if anyone has any information i would love that! thank you soo much reading! :)
- If they are offering a warranty, I would go for it. However, most insurance replacements you get from your cell phone carrier are refurbished phones.

- You can put a Boost Mobile Sim in most year 2002 and newer phones even most blackberries but on regular handsets download options will not work with blackberries you cannot use mobile web . If you can find someone who is familiar with iDEN mobile technology you can ask if they will unlock your Boost Mobile phone after that is done you can use a nextel 64K sim in any Java Boost handset but it must be UNLOCKED and you will NOT be allowed to download ringtones wallpapers etc

- No, that will not work, and for several reasons: 1.) Straight Talk will not accept a Boost Mobile phone, period. 2.) Boost Mobile phones are not compatible with Straight Talk's GSM SIM cards. 3.) Boost Mobile phones with SIM card slots are either iDEN (which will not work with a GSM SIM card), or are locked from being used outside of Boost Mobile.
- Q: Anyone has or has had a virgin mobile phone--- what are the pros and cons. I know they're good 'cause there is no contract but money wise would you spend more on one of these then on a cell phone with a contract?
- With any pre-paid phone you could easily end up paying double what you would pay with a contracted phone. If you would talk on it a lot, like more than 30-45 mins a day then it would be more expensive. With virgin mobile it is more expensive than other pre-paid services. I would suggest you go with Cingular Go Phone's if you know a lot of people on the Cingular network because you get unlimited mobile to mobile. And a)that saves you money and b) it saves your minuets. The major con to the Cingular Go Phones is that they dont have the latest and greatest phones. Virgin mobile has some pretty neat ones. They are both easy to set up, and if you go into any RadioShack they will more than likely offer to set them up for you.
