- Q: Based on the responses to my question, I compiled this list of mobile phone prefix numbers. Is the list complete / accurate ?Mobile Prefix NumbersSmart ------------909910918919920921928929Globe --------------905906915916917926927Sun ---------------922923Thank you.
- Well, I can't vouch for all of 'em, and I've no idea if your list is complete. But I can vouch for the accuracy of these prefixes: Smart 0910, 0918, 0919 Globe 0916, 0917 Hope that helps.
- Q: I was just wondering, If i bought a G1 (ATT Subscriber) without contract and just unlock it through the web service for $24 will I be able to use it? Or do I first need a T Mobile sim to activate the phone?I am confused by the last question there, so please help.
- You need a T-Mobile account and data plan just to set the phone up initially. I have one, so I've done it. When you first fire up the phone, it expects to find a T-Mobile sim with an active data plan, and you have to set up Google access with either an existing account or a new account set up on the phone. Once you do that, I understand you can unlock the phone and use it with other GSM systems (like ATT), but there are a couple of caveats: 1. You won't be able to use the T-Mobile data network, even with a ATT data plan. 2. You can allegedly tweak the phone to use the ATT data network, but you still have to have a data plan to do so. 3. You won't have any 3G access on ATT or T-Mobile's network. It will work with the edge network, but since the phoen si a 3G phone, you lost the advantage of that higher speed network. To me, doing it this way is no advantage. Even though ATT has better 3G coverage (currently), T-Mobile is rapidly rolling theirs out, and it is available in many major cities. I have it where I work in DC, but not where I live yet in Jacksonville, Florida, but the edge network works there really well. I know you have an ATT plan, but if your contract is up or close to it, I'd switch. I'm very happy with T-Mobile (been with them many years) and the G1 is an excellent phone.
- Q: Hi, i have a motorola razrlt;-- the first one that came out and i remember getting that phone for 40 bucks because i told them that i was a long customer and stuff, but it was supposed to be $150 for upgrade. Now, it's been two years since i had the razr phone and i want to upgrade a new phone, like the motorola rizr and the motorola krzr, i was wondering did anyone talk to any of the t-mobile staff to get the cheaper upgrade for either one of those phones??
- no, as a tmobile rep, you only qualify for what our system says you do. we do not negotiate prices on phones. most people go wrong by thinking this and call in pissed off but we do not offer credits to reduce the cost of phones. we offer rebates and a discount only if you are eligible.
- Q: Dear FriendIs this possible to setup Skype software in mobile phone what we usually do in PC under windows. Can it possible to talk through skype from mobile then? If yes, please help me by providing necessary guideline.RegardsPervez
- For most cell (mobile) phones the answer is no. In the UK the cell phone company 3 offers a skype mobile phone that provides free skype to skype calls, along with the regular cell phone features at regular rates. In the USA you can load a skype application on the iPhone, iTouch, Nokia N800/N810 and others. Skype calls on these units do NOT go over the cell phone network, but rather use a local (free) wifi hotspot. I use the Belkin Wi-Fi Phone for Skype ( F1PP000GN-SK ) from amazon ($129.35), it works fine if you have a local free wifi hotspot (or Boingo). Out of these areas it is dead.
- Q: I am going to Europe (I begin in London) and I would like to rent a mobile phone that I can take with me throughout my travels and return at my end point (London)
- Oh ok you reposted, lol. This is the second time I've seen a question about renting mobile phones and I can honestly say I've never even heard of the concept. I don't think you can rent mobile phones, not in the UK anyway. The best thing for you to do is to buy a cheap prepay mobile phone for about ?30 in London, put ?10-20 credit on it and that should last you for your trip. You will be able to use it to roam throughout Europe, I recommend you buy one on the O2 network.
- Q: I really hate my phone (marbl). I honestly don't like any of virgin mobile phones, although i love their plan. I love tmobile and sprint phones.
- No, you can only use Virgin Mobile phones on Virgin Mobile. I've tried to put other phones on it but they never let me. I hate their phones too. Maybe you should just go with a pre paid with another provider, like T-Mobile flex pay. It's pretty much pre paid, but you have to pay full retail price for the phone, but it's worth it. :) Or ATT Go Phone. I don't know how that works really since I went with the Flex Pay, but either way you'd be getting a much better phone. :)
- Q: describe my mobile phone
- For the best answers, search on this site
- Q: Do T-Mobile prepaid phones still get to use the free T-mobile to T-mobile minutes or is it a different kind of service?
- It depends on which prepaid option you choose. The Pay by the Day option charges you $1 per day that you use the service, but charges nothing on days you do not use the service. That $1 includes unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls at any time during the day, and unlimited calls to any other number from 7 p.m. until 6:59 a.m. Other calls (basically, calls made to non-TMobile numbers between 7 a.m. and 6:59 p.m.) cost 10 cents a minute, and it costs 10 cents to send and 5 cents to receive a message. It is a really good plan-I just got it for my children because I wanted them to have a phone not for entertainment, but for security when I drop them off at Scouts or ball practice or such. I hope this helps!
- Q: how i can bye a mobile phone in Bangkok ?And I want sites to check prices
- Try one of the large retailers like Jaymart, Powerbuy and Carrefour or go to Central World Plaza where most of the major mobile phone manufacturer's have factory stores. Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, LG, etc. have stores there, and often have better prices without all the haggling you need to do with the small vendors. There's also a large Jaymart and Powerbuy store at Central World and they often have very good sales on certain models and a great selection of all the latest phones from just about every company that makes phones. You'll also be able to get VAT refund if you're a tourist from the stores there that aren't often offered from the small vendors. You can check out the prices at Jaymart which is the largest retailer and a very reputable company in Thailand here: jaymart .th/product_and_ser
- Q: I can't stand any of the T-Mobile phones but I'm stuck using them. So does anyone know any unlocked phones that work well with T-Mobile?
- you can use any gsm phone that is unlock so long as you are just making calls and texting. where your problem will be is with any functions that has to connect to the phones internet. t-mobile uses t-zone and it can only be accessed from a t-moble phone, so you want be able to use the internet, send or receive pic messages, multimedia messages, or download anything.
