- Q: where can i purchase bathroom vanities other then home depot and lowes?
- Ktichen and bath stores are the obvious.
- Q: Custom cut. Im in the So Cal area.
- Look for a Glass Company (Store). They have anything you need. If you do not have access to such a store, you may go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get some heavy Plexi Glass. They will even cut it for you. Probably a better solution for a bathroom since you do not have to worry about breakage. I got some Marble at a natural stone Place.to do something like you are trying to do. I am thrilled with it. It was very cheap.
- Q: Need some help with placement. How far from the back wall do you place recessed lights? I think I have them spaced right just unsure of how far back. My vanity counter will be 73.5" long. Installing (3) 3" 50 watt lights over the vanity. I pretty much decided to put one light on center 36.75" from side wall and the other two 18" to each side. Does that sound good? But, how far from the back wall? I would like the light to wash down the wall and reflect the light as well. I know I will need to find some other wall sconce lights for around the mirror but would like to make correct decision on the recessed for now

- Q: I have ordered them. However, to save on costs I have decided to install them myself. It is a double sink vanity with a Corian counter top, as well as a linen tower. Cabinets are Kraftmaid, solid cherry. I assume I will bolt the cabinets to the wall, right? How about the counter top? Liquid nail it to the wall? Thanks.

- Q: how to make a dresser into a bathroom vanity?
- This is not a huge project, but attention to detail is important. You've got to take the drawer fronts off and remove the face frames between the drawers if there are some. then cut them in half and put hinges on the doors and attach to the dresser case. The cut edges will have to be finished with matching stain/paint. Now you've got your empty vanity box and can drill holes to run your plumbing. If you want a round bowl to look like it sits on the top, you'll have to attach that with some type of epoxy or a mechanical fastener on the drain tube. If you had to hire this done, it would probably cost you a couple hundred dollars to build with you providing the furniture piece.
- Q: smooth wall tiles? With or without the borders or accents?
- I am getting two bathroom vanities with undermount round bathroom basins.....one granite top and one travertin top I am also getting 2 mirrored medicine cabinets (wall mounted in mone and recessed in the other smaller bathroom - kids) I am doing both bathrooms with travertine tiles semi smooth construction has not begun yet and it took me over 2 months to decide on this ( hard choice ) I need easy cleaning - fast - quick, this is my 1st priority when i am selecting items -
- Q: We are updating our guest bathroom and would like to paint the vanity. It is a double vanity with oak cabinetry (but it is beat up) and beige countertop. We are replacing the beat up wall trim with new painted white trim and the walls are going to be a dark khaki color. We were thinking that paining it white would be to stark and might not look good with the beige countertop. Would it look good to paint the vanity the same dark khaki color as the walls?
- How about black semi gloss? Black looks great on any furniture and it would look good with the countertop too. The khaki on the cabinets would not look bad but I think it would blend in with the room more than you want it to. You could always paint a door on the vanity first and see what you think since you already have that color. I would not use the wall paint for the cabinets though. You will need to prime them first and use at least a semi gloss on them. I like the brushed nickle for the hardware idea. But only if you have the silver color for the faucets and stuff too. I like butterfly lovers answer too but only if you want to go to the trouble of stripping and staining them.
- Q: Glass glue has no effect, they said sticky glass glue will be strong, but I am afraid of disassembly, in the end three expansion screws hanging oak cabinet and porcelain pot does not?
- Yes, as long as you use a diameter of 10mm expansion bolts on it.
- Q: would a bathroom vanity such as this come with a sink, or would i need to buy the sink and faucet separately?
- Usually, the sink, faucets, hardware and counter top are sold separate. All you get is the wooden 'box'.
- Q: Our tile floors are beige with other colors (white, browns mainly beige), we are thinking about painting the walls light green. We want to paint the vanity which is 6feet long, any ideas for colours, we are stuck between dark brown, black and white. As well any ideas for countertops?
- Most people would suggest traditional pastels or trendy colors such as sage green. For a different twist you may want to consider a medium to light gray with a light yellow accent wall. I've seen this combination in several design books for small bathrooms and it makes quite a statement.
