How to choose suitable inverter?

If your load is resistive loads, such as: bulbs, you can choose a modified wave inverter. But if it is inductive loads and capacities loads,we recommend using pure sine wave power inverter.

How do I choose the size of the inverter?

Different types of load demand for power are different. You can view the load power values to determine the size of the power inverter.

Q: Can someone give me an outline of how to hook batteries together to make a battery pack? Such as ; hooking 4 AA batteries together, or hooking 4 AAA's, or two 6 volts, etc.
Connecting cells in series causes the voltages to add. If you want a 6 Volt battery pack, connect 4 cells: (-) end of load, - cell +, - cell +, - cell +, -cell +, (+) end of load [A diagram would be better, but I can't make one here.]
Q: If I unplug the 12V car plug, rechargeable built-in battery of GPS lasts lt; 5 mins. I want to use it for walk-navigation. Is it possible to assemble 8x 1.5V AA batteries (12V) and power the GPS? How should I do it? Will it work? Ampere-hour considerations etc?
The battery in your GPS has failed. It should provide a few hours use. Consider replacing that battery. What you should otherwise do, to directly power it, is use four AAs in series (or 8 in series parallel) to power the GPS directly on its DC adapter input, with the 4.8 to 6V. The 3rd option, is to get a standalone trail/hiking GPS.
Q: I bought an external battery pack recently to charge my phone on the go. My phone's battery has a 1900mAh capacity and the pack has a capacity of 5200mAh, a little over twice the size of my phones battery. However, the battery pack only has enough juice to charge my phone fully once, and then about a quarter full. The pack is advertised to only have enough to charge an iPhone 4's battery twice, which is a 1450mAh battery, so the company didn't falsely advertise. But I want to know why if it's capacity is twice the amount of my phone, it can only charge it fully, once. The pack charges 1amp at 5V. I was thinking maybe some of the power is lost through heat during the transfer? Cause after all no cable or battery is 100% efficient at power transfer/storage, but that seems an awful lot to lose while it's charging. Anybody know what the problem most likely is?
Might be the false advertisement, company's do this all the time, just so they get more purchases and more more unsatisfied customers.
Q: I decided to replace an ailing NiMh battery pack (3.6 V) with 3 AA alkalines in series (4.5 V) to a small DC motor (hair clippers). Soldered the batteries in proper polarity series and ran the motor for a few minutes. The batteries became so hot they nearly exploded. Any ideas why this might have happened?
Its just the Draw of that Motor was a bit on the Amperage side. Hence causing a good workload, therefore you get Heat. Ever Notice how a Good Flashlights batteries get Warm?
Q: I have an electric lawn mower. I love that its 'green', but to run the mower, I have to plug it in to a huge extension cord. I have a small yard, but I wish I could find a rechargeable battery pack or something for it. Are there rechargeable batteries that I could plug my mower into?
You cannot convert a 110v mower to, in most cases, an eighteen volt battery pack type without an entirely different motor and spending much more money than the mower is worth. Gotta question for you. What is so green about electricity? That electricity has to be generated somehow. Diesel and coal burning plants, or water power with enormous dams that obstruct waterways and kill wildlife, timber cleared and graded right of ways for power lines, giant oil and pcb filled transformer and substations that were all built with heavy hydrocarbon emitting equipment and still maintained with more of the same equipment. All of the materials for this fine grid of green had to be logged, mined or drilled for. Even solar and wind power stations didn't just bloom there. Sorry, you are an innocent victim of my diatribe, but in spite of what the power companies like to spout, and once electricity is generated and delivered it doesn't cause anymore pollutants, at least as we know now, it still isn't green.
Q: I have a new electric snowblower and it works well, except plugging in the cord and keeping it straight it a pain. I'm wondering if they make battery packs that you can charge and then hook up to the snow blower (kind of like they have for most weed whackers now). Does anybody know if there's something like this, and where to find it?
I would be afraid of electrocution with one of those.
Q: CameraSony a390. Out of the box. Should I start taking pictures immediately using its battery pack, or it should be charged first, and how long?
They tend to come with a partial charge, but personally I try to charge them overnight first. I think that is being overly cautious, but it is the way I can feel sure I won't cause any issues.
Q: I have a regular battery pack and when I put new batteries in it, it won turn on I've tried different controllers but same thing. Please help!
Could you have put the batteries in the wrong way? Did you ensure that the battery pack clicked into the controller? Are the controllers synced? Maybe you need to buy a new battery pack (around $15)
Q: I know you can always get rechargeable batteries, but I hear that digital cameras use a lot of juice, so you'd probably have to have lots of sets. what do you think?
My camera has a lithium ion battery and I've been extremely happy with it. I just ordered a digital SLR that uses rechargeable AA batteries. I hope it's not a step backwards.
Q: I have an HP laptop and I can charge it to 100% battery and within 15 minutes the battery is dead. Do you think it's something I'm doing or is it the laptop?
How long have you had the laptop for? If it's more than a year it's likely that the battery life is at it's end. Has the decrease in battery life been gradual or did it just suddenly stop holding its charge? If it's new, it very well could be a defective battery. HP did just have a voluntary recall on certain batteries. Check their website for information on it.
