- Q: I would appreciate anyones help on this.I have to have a custom high-detailed graphic printed onto a sheet of plastic measuring 25 and 3/4 by 27. I'm assuming I will need a specialist service, but I'm not really too sure where to start, or how much this will cost me. This will be a custom made banner for an arcade machine, if anyone's interested. Can anyone direct me towards services, or even give me an idea of prices? - Q: Hi, I have a CD with the plastic sheet of cd (the side usually with designs on it) torn and some parts missing. Will my data be affected? Any remedy to salvage my CD?
- If its torn and some parts are missing, the underside very well could be damaged. The only hope is to try it out on a cd reader. If your data is damaged, I'm not sure what to do....try repairing it with a CD Cleaner......but I don't know that will fix it for sure. If its gouged, theres no hope for saving data.

- Q: It's flat, like paper, but with a layer of plastic over top of it that has grooves into it that refracts the image printed on the paper. You used to get them in cereal/crackerjack boxes, or printed on a child's plastic ruler, or sometimes even the cover of a book would have them. - You may be talking about a Fresnel lens which is flat but provides magnification. It consists of grooves in the plastic. You can see odd optical things when you bend it or look at it at an angle. You may also be talking about a polarizing filter which physically blocks some of the light waves and allows other light waves to pass thru. The grooves are too small to see. I suppose you could have a polarized Fresnel lens.
