The only time I have a fire inside is when I'm sleeping in this one cave I know of (this gets warm really quick!). I have also stayed in a teepee before with a fire, but if you build it out of tarps it will be flammable. For a teepee you would need leather or canvas. Warm stones are great, but they don't stay warm all night. They just help you get to sleep. Bring tons and tons of blankets if you don't have the proper sleeping bags.
