Q: I've had my scaffolding piercing for about a week now and when cleaning i've just dabbed the hydrogen peroxide and salt water around my ear. However i read that i should be rotating it when cleaning it. Should i rotate it after only a week?
you dont need to rotate a scaffolding piercing because its in such a place that it will rotate on its own throughout the day/night
Q: I'm trying to understand a problem in my physics book. The problem is this:A person is pulling on a rope, that is connected to a pulley on the ceiling. The rope then goes to a box with a pulley on it, and then up to the ceiling where the rope is connected (to the ceiling). The rope and pulleys are massless and frictionless. The book lists three forces (tension forces) going up and one weight force pulling down.My question is, why isn't there another force pulling against the tension of the rope from the guy pulling the rope?
The force felt by the person pulling is the same as the force in the rope between the two pulleys. It doesn't matter if the person is pulling straight up (without the pulley) or straight down(with the pulley) it's the same. Therefore the weight/force is divided equally between the two ropes.
Q: I plan to have a scaffolding or industrial piercing soon, but don't know where to go.Any suggestions and could you include the prices?x
Cost depends on the studio. It ranges from 20 to 45 pounds for each piercing, most common price is 25 pounds for each piercing, high quality titanium or stainless steel jewelry included. The industrial is 2 piercings in one so : 25 + 25 = 50 pounds, jewelry included.
Q: I got my scaffold piercing 6 days ago, with titanium, and it was fine until yesterday.I had a couple of nights out and might have knocked it a few times, but yesterday it was swollen, red, throbbing and very painful. There is no liquid coming from it. It seems to have got worse today.I have been following the aftercare advice and cleaning it several times a day with rock salt solution and (up until yesterday) savlon antiseptic spray. Is it just irritated or is it infected? How long should I wait before I go to the doctor? If it is infected, will I have to take it out or just take antibiotics? Thanks!
It's irritated. If it was infected, it would be oozing green or yellow gunk:) If it gets to that point, go to the doctor. Until then, just treat is regularly with salt solution:) Hope this helped!
Q: i had my scaffold piercing done in the summer holidays and wen i went back to school (currently in my last year) they told me to take it out so i had to go back to the piercer. They changed the bar to two clear retainers in the holes so they wouldn't heal, now it hurts all the time and is red with a bubble on the top of my ear, any suggestions as to what i should do? :/
try drying it out with sea salt soaks, tea tree oil, aspirin paste (crushed aspirin and water) , chamomile tea bag soaks !!! keloids are unpredictable , you can get them anytime from changing the jewelry early, irritation, bumping it on stuff or accidentally yanking it , and they will either stay or go away !!! you can prevent infections by cleaning the piercing regularly with anti bacterial soap and sea salt soaks , making sure to use clean hands when handling the piercing and not letting anyone touch the piercing
Q: Okay so I want to get either done, I just want to know which one is more painful. Not felling that nervous because I have had my nose and tongue done. I want to know which one is more painful and how to clean each of them. And also with the lip, is it more like the tongue with what foods you can eat and how hard it is to eat?
The lip is an interesting piercing. The person doing your piercing will clamp you lip, causing a mild discomfort to distract you and guide the needle and ring in, takes less than a minute. Virtually painless, unless your pain threshold is sensitive. Also, if you get a monroe (left upper lip) or madonna (right upper lip), it would vary from a medusa (center middle lip) because that us where the skin is the thickest. Lower lips piercings are about the same. You start of with a longer laret ring for two weeks to compensate for swelling than get a normal one. It is going inside your mouth so be careful how you chew. m Clean the inside of your mouth after every time you eat with a non alcohol mouth rinse or saltwater rinse. As for the outside take some warm water and non iodized salt and gently twist the labret while using a q tip to gently clean around it.
Q: Which loads are considered in the design of the scaffold
1 the weight of the frame structure: including the vertical rod, vertical horizontal bar, horizontal horizontal bar, scissors, fasteners, etc.;2) structure, accessories weight: including the foot board, railings, foot boards, safety nets, such as the weight of protective facilities.
Q: Okay, quick question. I dropped into a couple of piercing studios yesterday to inquire about getting a scaffold done. Both places informed me that it's not a good idea to have it pierced with a bar straight off, as the pressure from the jewellery combined with the swelling when first pierced can seriously slow down the healing rate. Is this true? The second place said they will pierce both holes with rings, and these can be changed to a bar after around 6 to 8 weeks. Is this the best option? Thanks for any replies.

Q: The scaffold weighs 204 N and is 3.10 m long. What is the force each rope exerts on the scaffold when the 665 N worker stands 1.00 m from one end of the scaffold? N (smaller force) N (larger force)
Sum moments left side...(assume worker 1m from left) Right rope = 316.516 Sum vertical.... Left rope = 552.484
Q: I got an industrial/scaffold piercing a few months ago and currently have captive bead rings in (The piercer put those in after he pierced it). The piercings are now healed enough for me to change the piercing, and I found an industrial bar on ebay which I'd really like to order. Only problem is, it has two choices on the gauge thickness and length, and I don't know which mine is.The gauge sizes available are 1.2mm (16g) or 1.6mm (14g) , and the length options are 32mm, 35mm, 38mm.Does anyone know which would be the best to get? Thanks.
Please ignore the the bigger the better idea. A longer bar can be as bad in an industrial piercing as a shorter bar can be. It really depends on what size you were pierced with...16g o 14g. Industrial piercings are typically done at 14g, 16g would be too small. The length depends on your anatomy...you really should go to a professional piercer to get the bar put in since your piercings aren't completely healed. That way everything can be 100% sterile and they will be able to fit the proper length of jewelry into your ear.
