FAQ:

Q1: Why buy Materials & Equipment from OKorder.com?

A: All products offered byOKorder.com are carefully selected from China's most reliable manufacturing enterprises. Through its ISO certifications, OKorder.com adheres to the highest standards and a commitment to supply chain safety and customer satisfaction.

Q2: What is a solar PV module?

A: A solar PV module consists of many solar cells that are connected together (typically in series) and packaged in a frame (typically made of aluminum).

Q3: What are the advantages and disadvantages of monocrystalline solar PV modules?

A: Monocrystalline solar PV modules are the most efficient type of solar PV modules, with the exception of CdTe thin film solar PV modules. As a result, monocrystalline solar PV modules are more expensive when compared to almost all other types of solar PV modules.

Q4: What is the typical service life of a solar PV module?

A: The typical life of a PV module is 25 years. However, superior quality PV modules boast service lives up to 35-40 years (electrical generating capacity is often reduced, however by that point).

Q: Can solar panels be installed on a residential community or housing development?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a residential community or housing development. In fact, many residential communities and housing developments are incorporating solar panels as a sustainable and cost-effective energy solution. Installing solar panels on rooftops or open spaces within the community can generate clean energy, reduce electricity bills, and contribute to a greener environment.
Q: What in the solar panel wares out so that the panel can not convert the suns energy to electric energy? Please post were you get answers.
They really don't stop working unless there is some sort of manufacturers deficiency, where a connecting tab(wire) is broken. Generally their output just decreases over the years. There are plenty of solar panels over 40 years old still producing electricity, which is 0 years past the typical 30 year manufacturers waranty.
Q: can solar power panels installed at home provide enough electricity to power house hold appliainces and heat water.
Yes, but people usually balk at the cost. Right now, the photoelectric materials are rather expensive. So, most people figure it is not worth spending thousands of dollars and will gladly pay hundreds of dollars a month to the electric company. Most estimates are that it takes at least a year and a half to two years to recover the cost of the panels by how much one can save on their electric bill. Most persons would rather pay out that money in little increments to the electric company instead of all at once when having their home built. Just a side note of trivia: The ability of certain materials to turn photons of light into electric current or the photoelectric effect is what Einstein was awarded his Nobel Prize for, not Relativity.
Q: Can solar panels be used for powering outdoor lighting?
Yes, solar panels can be used to power outdoor lighting. Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which can be stored in batteries and used to power outdoor lights during nighttime. This allows for cost-effective and environmentally friendly outdoor lighting solutions.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on forests or protected areas?
Solar panels can be installed on forests or protected areas, but it is important to carefully consider the potential environmental impact and sustainability of such installations. Proper planning and assessment should be conducted to determine the potential disturbance to ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and biodiversity. In some cases, it may be more appropriate to explore alternative locations or prioritize the use of existing infrastructure for solar panel installations.
Q: i want to know how to hook up solar panels to my existing power. all i can find on the internet is to use batteries and a inverter. but i want to use all of my existing lights and outlets off of the solar energy. i have heard that you can actually turn the meter backwards and use supplied power when needed. thats what i want to do and is it possible to do myself and if so, how?
Im an ex solar installer. I dont know all the details but I know of 2 companies in hawaii that are doing what youre talking about - and yes, it feeds power back into the grid and makes your meter turn backwards. uh... darn... locate a company that does that stuff and they will tell you best how and what and why. The electric comapny will know less as they are (believe it or not) behind the times. 2st century technologies is the co. in hawaii. the owner is way cool. its a full-on expensive system though, not some cheesy diy thing. its gnarley. you need the special panels and all that. Photovoteic panels are really expensive. The system costs like 0k + but pays for itself after perhaps 6 years and then you reap the monthly check from the electric company for life (instead of you paying them) Inh hawaii, the sun is strong = $$$ for solar. good luck in your....quest? whatever, man. Hope you find what youre looking for.,
Q: Has anyone actually used those kits online like energy4green or earth4energy to build their own solar panels or windmills? I'm so tempted but with my budget can't afford to waste any money. They have a 60 day money back policy but that doesn't include the money used to buy the supplies to try and build the things. My electric bill is almost $300 a month due to my stay at home disabled veteran husband who went from Utah snow to Florida sun and he has to have the AC on really cold. If anyone has actually built one can you tell me of your experience and if it actually is worth the money? I do lots of D.I.Y. projects but am a novice with electric besides installing a ceiling fan and changing out a light switch.
What I've heard, is that for those sites implying that you can power your house and save money with homemade solar panels, is that if you try to get your money back, there is no response. Maybe if you used a real credit card, you could dispute the charges through your credit card company. Actually, I wouldn't be worried about buying materials and it not working - the more likely scenario is that you would get their instructions, and realize that they're practically worthless. In Florida, you have a chance to save money on your electric long-term, but it will be by investing maybe $0-20k, and then getting that back after 0 or more years. I'd suggest you contact a local solar installer and get a bid, even if it's only to scope out how much it would cost up front. Then you can shop around and see if you could save by installing it yourself. It's a serious project, not to be taken lightly. It took me about 3 months to put it up. It's possible that you will not save money by self-installing, as professionals may get better prices on the panels. The Florida state rebate is subject to availability of funds, and typically, I've heard people wait a long time to get it. The Federal rebate is a credit to your taxes, so you get it the next year.
Q: i am doing this group project fro school. I would like to know if anybody knows anything about how to read a Spec. Sheet on Solar panels and where I could go to start researching them. Anything would be great!
Rate ,power , voltage and effencicney are four important iterms to choose one battery.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a school or educational institution?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a school or educational institution. In fact, many schools around the world are increasingly adopting solar energy systems as a sustainable and cost-effective solution to meet their energy needs. Installing solar panels on educational institutions not only helps reduce their carbon footprint but also serves as an educational tool, allowing students to learn about renewable energy and environmental conservation firsthand.
Q: How does the size of a solar panel affect its performance?
The size of a solar panel directly affects its performance. Generally, larger solar panels have a higher power output and can generate more electricity. This is because larger panels have more surface area to capture sunlight, allowing them to convert more solar energy into usable electricity. Additionally, larger panels tend to have more solar cells, which increases their efficiency and overall performance. However, it is important to consider other factors such as the quality of the solar cells and the efficiency of the panel's design, as these can also impact performance regardless of size.
