Q:i have lived in york for ten years and have been told many times that the minster in york has had scaffolding up for decades and that it has to stay there for political or religious reason there is never any work done or indeed workers on the scaffolding. can anyone shed any light on the matter for me or is it just an urban myth and nothing more than on going restoration.: York Minster Scaffolding

Q:I got an industrial/scaffold piercing a few months ago and currently have captive bead rings in (The piercer put those in after he pierced it). The piercings are now healed enough for me to change the piercing, and I found an industrial bar on ebay which I'd really like to order. Only problem is, it has two choices on the gauge thickness and length, and I don't know which mine is.The gauge sizes available are 1.2mm (16g) or 1.6mm (14g) , and the length options are 32mm, 35mm, 38mm.Does anyone know which would be the best to get? Thanks.: Please ignore the the bigger the better idea. A longer bar can be as bad in an industrial piercing as a shorter bar can be. It really depends on what size you were pierced with...16g o 14g. Industrial piercings are typically done at 14g, 16g would be too small. The length depends on your anatomy...you really should go to a professional piercer to get the bar put in since your piercings aren't completely healed. That way everything can be 100% sterile and they will be able to fit the proper length of jewelry into your ear.

Q:On Wednesday day I'm planning to get this done (the top piercing). I've been thinking about it for a while now really want it.What problems can I have with this piercing?How long does it take to heal ect?Thanks =): i've not had scaffolding but i've got a wide range of cartilage piercings and they take about 12weeks to heal... i would just say be careful not to catch it and keep it clean. good luck :)

Q:...and I'm not really sure what to expect. I know that everyones healing time and pain tolerence is different but just some personal storys would be nice. And before you say it I am aware that there are risks as there are risks with any piercing. so I'm 17 from London and wondering:How old do you have to be to get it done?Does anyone know a reputable place i can get it done?How much will it be?any experiences to share?: I haven't had this piercing but i was thinking of getting one i do have an eyebrow ring and seven earrings in each ear and i use to have a tongue ring, your piercing cartilidge so it is going to sting shouldnt be too bad though for me my most painful piercing was my fourth earring hurt after that it wasnt too bad my seventh was a breeze i knew how to take care of it so that it would heal fast and not get infected. you have to daily sometimes twice a day clean it otherwise it gets infected and its been my exerpience that they get infected easy. the healing time for when you pierce cartilidge is twice that of when you pierce your lobe so about 8-12 weeks give or take as far as i know you have to be 18 to get one if your in the US (or 17 with parental consent) not sure what the age would be over in London as for reputable place most tatto parlors do piercings look for a clean place that sterlizes everything very important (again going on US standards) as for the cost not sure was 10 dollars for ear piercing at wal mart but for this kind of ear piercing i would guess 20-30 dollars cause its at leadt 50 for a eyebrow or tongue ring i know that. i hope this helps good luck

Q:I want to get a scaffolding piercing, but i just wanna know some information.. past experiences etc. So far i have two lobe piercings on both ears and the pain wasn't too bad, but i've never had a piercing on the upper ear. How much will it cost? (I live in the UK) Just some information i guess (: thanks: I have two lobe piercings on both ears, two cartilage piercings and an industrial that i got five months ago. I was expecting my industrial to be very painful but it wasn't that bad (i have a high pain tolerance though) its a bearable pain. Like all other piercings the healing process is the worst part and still when i bump it (like when im doing my hair) it hurts like a B****! lol. And don't play with it alot when you first get it, it causes scar tissue bumps. Use H20cean spray or you can do 1/4 tsp of sea salt and 1 cup of water to help heal it. The healing time is long, 4 months to a year. I paid $65 dollars in the us idk how much that is UK. It was definitely worth it though! Go for it :)
