The most was a bare 1% improvement in mpg. Being in the automotive business for over 20 years, I can tell you that your best bet to reduce your fuel intake is modifying your driving habits. Take off slower from stops, don't jack-rabbit away. Keep to the speed limit. Don't be a lead foot. And keep up with maintaining your vehicle. Regular tune ups, oil changes, etc, will go a long way towards saving money on fuel.
