The trick is having a relationship with an excavator, having the time to allow him to do it on his schedule, and the excavator having a job nearby for which he needs your dirt. No one is going to do it so they have to haul the dirt and store it somewhere. If so, they'll charge you. If they happen to come across a job nearby, they may be willing to do it to lessen the trucking charges (if your place is nearer than a gravel pit).
