Q: whenever i make flan i make it taste TOO much like egg, its sorta nasty :/ any secretts?
How many eggs do you use? Is it a powder mix? Here is a recipe for great flan: Ingredients 1 cup white sugar 3 eggs 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Directions 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)2In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sugar until liquefied and golden in colorCarefully pour hot syrup into a 9 inch round glass baking dish, turning the dish to evenly coat the bottom and sidesSet aside3In a large bowl, beat eggsBeat in condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla until smoothPour egg mixture into baking dishCover with aluminum foil4Bake in preheated oven 60 minutesLet cool completely5To serve, carefully invert on serving plate with edges when completely cool
Q: I just removed my seatpost and it is a 26.4 mm seatpostI dont know the size of the seat tube as I dont have anything to measure itWhat size derailleur would fit? 28.6 or 31.8?
That depends on the tubing thickness on the outsideSteel most likely 28.6 and Aluminium the latter (but that sounds a bit too thick) These days they are often universal but not alwaysThe best bet is to measure it either with a piece of sturdy wire and then a ruler or even easier get a bit of cardboard and cut a suitable slot in it, trim gently until it slips over the tube them measure it.
Q: For a science experiment at school we are required to keep water cold, or hot rice warm in a can for 20 minutesI have wrapped my can in aluminum foil and then created a knitted stubby holder like thing, and covered the top, only leaving enough room to poke a thermometer through the holeSo my question is, should I choose to keep the water cool, or the rice warm? Please explain your answer ( I need to write why/ how my stubby holder will work) Thank you in advance! :)
First off put the foil on the outside since it will reflect the outside temp better, the air pockets from the knitted stubby thing will hold air, and the foil will stop the air from leaving the pocketsAir is the poorest conductor of heat aside from a vacuumYou are also much better off trying to keep rice warm than water coldWater transfers heat about 30x faster than air does and still more so than solidsIts much easier to keep the rice warmIts like how a potato can still be hot hours after its been heatedIf the thermometer is in the center of the rice the outer layers of rice will loose heat first while the inner layers retain it, while water would heat up at a more even pace through out
Q: Sleeping bagpillowclothstoilet paperfire woodmatchesflashlightsmarshmallowsname more stuff cause im planning this.
I've never met an elephant with one hand
Q: 14A company is manufacturing aluminum lidsIf the radius of each lid is 3 centimeters, which is the area of one lid? Round your answer to the nearest tenthPLEASE HELP ME!!
The area of a circle is 2piR that means times the radius by two then times that by piOr 3.14.
Q: Well, when I went on vacation to Denmark in the winter and visited the 'Str?get', I bought these nuts covered in sugar or something, and I failed to get the name, do any of you happen to know the name and how it is made?I would like to cook it for my family and friends here so they can get to taste it.I would like to know what kind of nuts were used and how it is cooked and how to cover the sugar or whatever that was on it properly.
Their candied nuts: you can use ANY type of nuts (peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, macadamias.) Ingredients: 3 tablespoons light corn syrup 1? tablespoons sugar ? teaspoon salt 1? cups (5 ounces) walnut or pecan halves Method 1Preheat the oven to 325°FPlace a large piece of aluminum foil on a work surface2In a medium bowl, combine the corn syrup, sugar, and saltAdd the nuts and toss to coat wellPlace in a single layer on a baking sheet coated with Teflon? non-stick3Bake the nuts for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring every 5 minutes and making sure they are not burning 4Immediately spoon the nuts onto the foilLet cool slightlyQuickly separate the nuts and let cool thoroughlyStore in an airtight container Advance Preparation: The nuts will keep for 1 week in an airtight containerThe Clever Cook Could: Add a pinch of cayenne and freshly ground black pepper to the nuts before baking for a spicy adaptation Add 1 teaspoon of grated orange zest to the nuts before baking for a sweet citrus flavor To make a large batch: Use a 16-ounce bag of pecan or walnut halves and triple the amount of syrup, sugar, and saltThis will make about 3 cups.
Q: how do i remove it and replace it
There should be 2 to 3 bolts holding it to the engine and/or engine bracketsIt's a large round aluminum object that has a pulley in the front of it and has many slits/openings cast into it to cool it offYou need a relatively flat and long pry bar to take tension off the idler/tensioner pulley and then you slip the belt off of the alternator pulleyIt will have 1 or 2 electrical plugs that go into itSince it sounds like you've never done this before I'd have someone who knows what they are doing do it for youThat's why mechanics existNot everyone has the ability to wrench on a carThough it's not rocket science you do need to be VERY knowledgeable in order to do most things on a carMany people just don't get it and never doUnless you grew up around cars or mechanics you should at least buy a Chilton or Haynes repair manual at you local auto parts store.
Q: I need to make a mask for a school project due FridayUnfortunately, we don't have any aluminum foil which I had planned on usingand we lack balloons, too.Is there any way to make the mold without using a balloon or aluminum foil? Thanks in advance.
Patience and use it like somesort of clayOr use your own face or someone elses to make it onMake sure you wash the face before and after, and keep it soapy and a little wet before you startThis will make it easier and less painfull to remove afterwardsDid it myself a few times, it is possible.
Q: why does Aluminum have the properties it has???as much information as possible please10 points thankoo
A silvery and ductile member of the poor metal group of elements, aluminum is found primarily as the ore bauxite and is remarkable for its resistance to oxidation (aluminum is actually almost always already oxidized, but is usable in this form unlike most metals), its strength, and its light weight. Aluminum is used in many industries to make millions of different products and is very important to the world economy. Structural components made from aluminum are vital to the aerospace industry and very important in other areas of transportation and building in which light weight, durability, and strength are needed. The use of aluminum exceed that of any other metal except iron. Pure aluminum easily forms alloys with many elements such as copper, zinc, magnesium, manganese and silicon. Nearly all modern mirrors are made using a thin reflective coating of aluminum on the back surface of a sheet of float glass. Telescope mirrors are also coated with a thin layer of aluminum. Other applications are electrical transmission lines, and packaging (cans, foil, etc.). Because of its high conductivity and relatively low price compared to copper, aluminum was introduced for household electrical wiring to a large degree in the US in the 1960s. Unfortunately problems on the functioning were caused by its greater coefficient of thermal expansion and its tendency to creep under steady sustained pressure, both eventually causing loosening the connection; galvanic corrosion increasing the electrical resistance. The most recent development in aluminum technology is the production of aluminum foam by adding to the molten metal a compound (a metal hybrid), which releases hydrogen gas. The molten aluminum has to he thickened before this is done and this is achieved by adding aluminum oxide or silicon carbide fibers. The result is a solid foam which is used in traffic tunnels and in space shuttle.
Q: I want to make biscuits this morning but don't have a baking sheet right nowWhat can I use instead??
there are both easy looms and the Daisy Looms for making the little flowersI am not sure which you mean but you can get either or both at Hobby Lobby, Micheals, JoAnns, and other crafts storesJust go look at the aisle with crochet hooks and knitting needles on itYes, they are cool and make really fast blankets with little practice and just reading the instructions for doing them.
