(almost 4) I think if you invest in the toddler bed now... then you can use it for your next baby... and then I would say after age 3 they could sleep in a twin without any rails. Good Luck!

- We bought a convertible bed/crib for our first. But we had to move her to a normal twin bed so her little sister could have the crib. When baby 3 came along, we couldn't fit 2 twin beds in the girl's room, so we put the second in a toddler bed in there and gave the baby the crib. When he was 2 1/2 and learned to jump out of the crib we thought great, we'll convert the crib finally. Nope- he said I want a big bed like my sisters! So the convertible bed didn't work out very well for us.... All of our kids went into either a twin or toddler bed at 2.5 yrs, no problem.

- Don't use sand for hamster bedding. They'll probably shove it in their pouches, and it will stick to them and make them dirty. Just go to a pet store and buy normal hamster bedding. Sand will stick to their cage and it will start to stink. The bedding will smell a lot nicer.
