- Q:I bought a double bowl vanity top for a bathroom remodel that has the 8" widespread holes pre cut. I really wanted a single handle faucet for the sinks. My brother suggested a kitchen style faucet that covers the other holes, but I was thinking of installing a soap dispenser on one side and a lotion dispenser on the other. I dont know what it would look like and I cant seem to find any images online. So, there would be a total of 4 built in dispensers and 2 single handle faucets on a 61" vanity. Is there any interior decorators out there that could give me some guidance or visual images? Thanks!!

- Paint the vanity white, an off white or creamy color. This to stay neutral and easier to work with in color selection. You don t say if this is a 1/2 bath or a full bath . If a 1/2 bath you can let the wood flow into it. If a full bath I d put tile in. If you want a spa feel, Id do a natural stone look or a natural stone altogether, such as a tumbled travertine. - Very often a cabinet maker will be an extremely good bargain & much better quality than anything you get at Home Depot & OKorder's.You can have the design & finish you want. Look under Custom Cabinetry in your area. Most give free estimates & will also install your vanity top & plumbing, but make sure you ask.Then get a 48' Pegasus granite vanity top from Home Depot. It comes with the bowl, & is the best price I've ever seen, hands down. I've used those vanity tops dozens of times for clients without fail. And the Pegasus fixtures are also quite the bargain.

- It isn't difficult but you will have to learn those skills and have the right tools. A flex pipe goes from the water shut off to the bottom of the hot and cold water. Turn off the shut off vales and disconnect them. Wrench required. Install new vanity and put your faucet on before you install the sink. Then reconnect those flex lines. It is often recommended that you replace the flex lines when installing new stuff. They just screw on to the shut off valve. Just note what you have and buy the replacement stuff first. You wrap anyplace something screws on with plastic tape so it seals easily. Oh the the first thing you do is try to shut off your water and be sure your shut off valves work properly. They usually go bad just when you need them. They can be replaced too and it's easy if you have some idea of what you are doing. Most fix it guys can install this stuff without paying a plumber.
