Q: The faucets are Kohler faucets and they are probably not brass but are brass colored. Any suggestions you might have will be appreciated.: if you aren't sure if it actually is brass i'm not sure how well of a job it will do in polishing it. Basically most polishes work by rubbing off the oxide that has formed. I'm not sure how brasso wil react with non-brass metals, the same way iwouldn't polish sterling silver with brasso. if anything might i suggest some sort of home concoction? I Think vinegar was something peoples used as polishing. It has an acidic property to help remove the oxide, but no chemicals to worry about that might mingle with the metal. Treat it like a greasy stain and use some baking soda, some cleaner like Greased Lightening or Blue Wolf. You can also try putting some hydrogen peroxide on it over night and covered with a rag or some plastic if its not granite or marble. Should clean up fine then. Good luck!
