Q: Yes I have all the proper tools, I'm using a basin wrench...I've got the old kitchen faucet disassembled...one retainer nut is off after some effort, but the other won't budge (white plastic style)...I can't get it off and it's the only thing holding me back from getting my new faucet in...this is suppose to be an easy project but it's killing my entire day, please help if you have advice!
spray WD40 on it this may take a couple of sprays but should do the trick i hope this helps you
Q: The position of the leading hole in the basin
The principle of opening the faucet dripping dripping in the basin, the water can not be sprayed to the largest basin.
Q: What is the size of the faucet mounting hole in the sink basin?
Elected to their favorite on the line slightly, you want to good quality to choose the brand, more secure. Good quality is not a single hole
Q: I'm having a problem with my 35154678 year old bathroom faucet.Leaking has always been a slight problem but I've always somehow been able to get it to stop if I close the faucet REALLY tightly. However, today I tried to turn the faucet shut, and the thing just popped and doesn't stop turning! It goes around and around from weak water flow to strong water flow, without the usual "resistance" before the water finally stops. So basically, I can't shut off the water flow by using the usual faucets and I have to use the main faucets underneath the sink.Gee, I sure hope I'm making sense.I guess it is time for a replacement, but can anyone tell me what might have broken to cause this? Will repairing this be as easy as simply replacing the O-rings, or do I need a plumber?
It okorder
Q: I am trying to replace my kitchen faucet and that plastic nuts/fasteners are screwed on too tight. I can turn by hand or adjustable wrench. There is very little room to work with when trying to use wrench/plyers.
I think you need a special plumbers tool called a "basin wrench" to get into the tight spot between the back wall and the sink where the nuts holding the faucet are found. Also stretch your back, legs, arms and neck and take some Motrin before contorting yourself into all sorts of unnatural postions when you work under the sink. Good Luck.
Q: Taiwan basin with a single hole is good or three holes of the good, what are the advantages and disadvantages
From the operation, single-hole basin mixer, adjust the water temperature, the flow is more convenient, a handle can be adjusted. The adjustment of the three holes will be more trouble, to twist the two handles several times before it can be transferred to the appropriate temperature.
Q: It slides around constantly. I can even lift it 3/4 inch upwards and see the pipes underneath in their little holes. I have felt under there with my fingers but I don't know what I'm feeling for to try and tighten it. What is the mechanism that tightens it to my sink, and how do I go about fixing it?
Put putty around the base of the tap on the drainer, then using a basin wrench, and someone to hold the faucet, you have to get underneath, and tighten the brass nut attached to the faucet. The nut may also be a plastic type.there is also a fitting called a "top Hat " that can be fitted between the Faucet and the nut, this will stop your faucet from ever coming loose again. To fit this, you will need to disconnect the Faucet from the pipe and fit it around the stem of the faucet, then connect the pipe and brass nut, and tighten until the faucet is immovable. Try not too overtighten the Faucet to the nut or you will destroy the fibre washer fitted in side the back nut.
Q: Is it hard to change the faucet and handles on a sink? I just bought a house and its a new sink.
if its a new installation it should be easy. you need a basin wrench, two 3/8 inch x 20 inch flexible steel braided faucet supply's, the new faucet and a flashlight. put down some rags under the sink (gets a little wet) close the valves under the sink and turn on the faucet to assure they are off and holding. remove the supply lines from the faucet and the valves you closed under the the sink. now loosen the capture nuts on the shanks of the faucet where the supply's were removed. after the captures are loose and removed the faucet lifts up and away. if there is a sprayer to the right of the faucet just cut the hose and remove it. the new faucet will come with installation instructions and pictures...so i won't have to write a novel here. if you get a basic faucet it will be simple... when you get into the exotics it becomes a strain. stay with a delta or a moen faucet...stay away from price phister...remember when you are purchasing a faucet... if there is an existing sprayer to the right of the faucet you will need to buy one with a sprayer (w/spray) don't want a sprayer and one exists...you will need a cock hole cover for it. talk to a sales person at a plumbing supply house....stay away from home improvement centers...best advise i can give you and good luck to you. yes there is a price dif between the supply house and home improv center...but you tell the guy at the counter in the supply house about it and many times you get a break. PLUS they know their product. good luck
Q: Is the basin faucet to the angle valve?
Can not do, installed the angle valve, then easy to repair the tap point, directly off the angle valve can be off the water, and no angle valve can only go to the total gate
Q: I just wanted to replace my kitchen sink but now that we have it in my cold water hose wont fit into the cold water valve.. they are both female ends. is there an adaptor i can use? do i have to replace the valve with a valve that has the right connection? and lastly what are these parts all called so i wont look like an idiot at the hardware store. thatnks for the help every one!
nothing to be ashamed of , take one sample and ask the hard ware store your problem, I am sure they will be more than happy to assist you , this will be more practical and save time, good luck, not forgetting to be honest
