Q: I have an old mattress, an antique but in good shape. I have a foam topper on the top. Lately, I have been sleeping in another bed in the house (which is a waterbed) but last night did not do to outside noise (I am a severe insomniac). I was sleeping VERY well in this other bed but last night I woke up all night after sleeping maybe 10 minutes at a time. I have always thought my bed was comfortable but am wondering now if my insomnia could be attributed to my bed? Are the memory foam (non Tempur Pedic brand) good? I have seen one for my size bed under 400.00. What could be my problem? I wake all night.: I slept on foam for years...my bed was in a loft so stayed warm and toasty. I moved to another house and had my bed on the floor, was way cold so I bought a new bed, box spring and frame to get me off the floor...I was amazed at how much more comfortable I was and how much better I slept. I don't know about the memory foam you asked about...when I bought my bed I went to every store in town that offers bed sets, spent hours laying on different beds in the stores, found a knowledgeable salesman to ask questions and have been very very happy with my bed for the last 7 years.

Q: Estimation Please???Plus age for upgrade to a Queen bed???: That is entirely dependent on the child. As a rule, children don't need the upgrade unless their sleep habits make it necessary. My 20 month old niece had to go from a crib to a twin bed because she moved around so much she kept hitting the bars. If they toss and turn so much that they fall of the bed or otherwise endanger themselves, then they definitely need the upgrade. Otherwise, it's not necessary unless you just want your child to have a larger bed.

Q: I am in need of a plain white loft bed! I don't need one with a desk or a futon or anything else underneath! just a plain, white loft bed. Also my ceilings are only 8ft. so it can't be too tall! Q: what are the pros and cons of tanning beds?: I don't have any Pros, sorry, but some Cons: *You can still get skin cancer from them--it's still UV light, so it's no healthier than tanning in the sun. *You pay money for the increased possibility of skin cancer *They malfunction all the time--I don't know anyone who tans who doesn't have a story about a tanning session that went terribly wrong--I know 2 girls that had bulbs explode while they were tanning, leaving cuts and scars.

Q: What is the difference between a platform bed and a regular bed....which one is better? In your opinion?: a platform bed has wood slats or plywood as the base....a regular bed you can get with a foundation which is made of wood and will not give or wear out...a box spring will wear out and your mattress springs will start to give with the box spring...kind of like rolling into the middle..anyways a platform is also lower but i like mine with a foundation.....foundation--- platform---6 of one half dozen of the other nfused now box springs suck....

Q: need to know the proper housing and bedding and when to change the bedding. and if you know all of this for horses, sheep/goat and swinethanks: just use straw

Q: Does anyone know if bed bug sprays are available in neighborhood stores, like Target or Wal-mart...or hardware stores?? I live in the Los Angeles area and would like to pick some up after work tonight. Thx.: Its harder then you think they live in the wood framing of the bed the box springs the matteress. and can spread to the living room. the rugs they are a hoorible thing to be infested with. Honestly you need to contact an exterminator. Some now use a trained dog to find them. the dog is like a blood hound and can smell them. After locating them in the bedroom they will walk the dog around the rest of the familys beds and in the living room to make sure your infestaion has not spread. I dont think any local store will carry the spray you can ask the exterminator you call to see if they sell something or know of where to go.

Q: in the morning, just before you go to bed, or do you just pull a crumpled pile of blankets over you....: this may sound stupid, but i make my bed right before i go to bed at night
