As can be seen, carbon fibre has excellent strength and low density. If these two factors are considered together, therefore looking at ‘specific strength’, then the benefits of carbon fibre look even more impressive. This is highlighted in the graph opposite.
Manufacturing Process -
How are the tubes made?
When the laminate has been designed and verified by our engineers the individual patterns are fed to our 5 metre long CNC cutting table which cuts out each pattern precisely. The materials we use are cloths which already have the resin matrix impregnated in to them, known as pre-pregs.
Next, these prepreg layers are wrapped around the male tooling (mandrels) which determine the Inside Diameter (ID) of the tube. These patterns are wrapped in an exact sequence on our machine driven rolling table to ensure consistency and accuracy of the lay-up.
The tubes are then subjected to a high temperature curing cycle under pressure in our electronically controlled ovens and finally removed from the tooling using a hydraulically powered puller mechanism.
Once complete, the raw blank is then ready to be machined and finished in line with the design specification.

- To properly cut and re-thread steel pipe you need a pipe cutter, pipe threader, and pipe deburrernone of which are cheap. If you know how long a piece you need, have the supply house or home center cut and thread the piece(s) for you. I think Lowes does this for little or no extra cost. If you have a lot of threading to do, try renting the cutter, threader, and de-burrer, plus a pipe vise. [You will also need cutting oil for the threading process.] You then use couplings, not unions, to rejoin the pieces. [Unions are used to join two pipes when you cannot turn one of the pipes because it is already in place.] Use standard forged couplings, not the cheap smooth merchant couplings which often come with pipe lengths. Be sure to use high quality pipe dope to join the pipe/fittings. It comes in tape or brush on types, depending on your preference, the type of pipe, and what the pipe will carry [water, gas, etc.]

- If the pipe or fitting is grey plastic with a silver metal band at the joint, then you are going to need either the special tool necessary to make the connections and the proper pipe and fittings, or see what is available in a compression type fitting that will adapt to the plastic and a more common type of material. If you could identify the kind of pipe that it is, I could be of more assistance to you.

- There may be several reasons you were unable to resolder your joint. If there is water in the line dripping into the joint, You didn't clean the joint properly or you didn't use a flux. Depending on your soldering skills, you may find it easier to cut the old joint out and replace it with two couplings, a couple of pieces of 1/2 copper and a new elbow. Remember to clean the copper and use soldering flux or your joints will leak. If your soldering skills are in question then they do make compression fittings that slip over the 1/2 copper and tighten with a couple of wrenches. You still need two couplings, two short pieces of 1/2 copper and a new elbow. Check with the staff at Lowes or Home Depot for assistance if you not sure what to buy. Compression fittings are really easy to work with. Sorry but there really isn't a cement that will fix your problem properly

- Depends on the fitting, tractors use a several different types, JIC, ORB, O ring face, standard pipe, just to name a few, and the only one that would require a sealant would be pipe, and the Japanese aint real keen on using pipe, so untill you know what you have your going to need to find out, in a lot of cases you have to relpace the whole hose as the fittings are pressed onto it.

- Q:I have this sniper it costed me 300 bucks ive had it for about a year and its fps is between 350-450 somewhere and i wanna know on a scale of 1-10 how good it is. We play hardcore airsoft and play in the wilderness with ghillie suits and we are playing pro so we can be firing up to 1000 feet away and tbh when i fire the sniper bullets go really fast starting out and they immedtialey drop in the middle of the air like a dive bomb anyways is 350-450 for a airsoft sniper good for hardocre long range playing in the wilderness?
- Great question! It really does provoke a double standard here amongst the answers. I think I would if I thought someone was getting hurt, I would have to. I would not like to have that on my conscience. Especially if I knew there were kids in the house! I would hope that the police intervention would be a wake up call for the abuser.
