As can be seen, carbon fibre has excellent strength and low density. If these two factors are considered together, therefore looking at ‘specific strength’, then the benefits of carbon fibre look even more impressive. This is highlighted in the graph opposite.
Manufacturing Process -
How are the tubes made?
When the laminate has been designed and verified by our engineers the individual patterns are fed to our 5 metre long CNC cutting table which cuts out each pattern precisely. The materials we use are cloths which already have the resin matrix impregnated in to them, known as pre-pregs.
Next, these prepreg layers are wrapped around the male tooling (mandrels) which determine the Inside Diameter (ID) of the tube. These patterns are wrapped in an exact sequence on our machine driven rolling table to ensure consistency and accuracy of the lay-up.
The tubes are then subjected to a high temperature curing cycle under pressure in our electronically controlled ovens and finally removed from the tooling using a hydraulically powered puller mechanism.
Once complete, the raw blank is then ready to be machined and finished in line with the design specification.

- The transition should be made at the cast iron hub. Remove existing pipe / cut out at hub with a recipricating saw using a bimetal cutting blade.The lead joint must be removed in hub using saw, hammer and chisel. Once removed install a extra heavy to plastic push gasket. This gasket can be purchased at local plumbing supply for the transition to schedule 40 pvc dwv pipe. The plumbing supply people will assist you in the fittings needed to maintain a 13 rough for the toilet .
- Q: I am going to construct out of wood, an exact model of the concrete pier caps I will use to top some brick columns I am constructing (as I replace old chain link fencing). I want to make a precast mold of this wooden model so that I can use mold to duplicate/ pour the concrete pier caps.What kind of resin material do I need to create a mold of the wooden model? It would be ideal if the mold would be slick and shiny, so the cured concrete can easily come loose from the mold. I have to use the mold 10 times.Do I need liquid fiberglass or hot plastic or what? - It is best not to use, with American conical teeth hard seal, NPTF generally very few people with this. High precision ah!

- i agree with corey, these motors are very expensive to replace, and i have seen some problems with them. and with a 400 dollar dealer cost on this motor, i would have to say that you would be probably looking at 600 or more your cost. its just not cost effective. see, they only charge 300 or so more for the furnace to get you locked in, then when you have a failure, they stick it to you real hard. and try to find a contractor that has one on their truck at midnight.
