- Q: hi re doing bathroom on a budget.have good vanity with lots of storage.just needs fresh coat of paint and pulls.the top is a beige travertine look. The wall will be a color called tranquility by benjamin moore which is a soft pale blue-teal.sink is white with chrome hardware and chrome mirror with sconces.Should I paint the vanity a creamy white or would a dark chocolate look best.want a spa feel.Any suggestions on what color flooring.I have wood althrough the house.Should I carry that into the bathroom or put down a tile.
- Paint the vanity white, an off white or creamy color. This to stay neutral and easier to work with in color selection. You don t say if this is a 1/2 bath or a full bath . If a 1/2 bath you can let the wood flow into it. If a full bath I d put tile in. If you want a spa feel, Id do a natural stone look or a natural stone altogether, such as a tumbled travertine. They come in a wide range of tans and beige's to work with. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: Bathroom cabinets are generally more than 60CM
- Single door and drawer at least 3KG
- Q: The newer vanities with cabinets/legs look nice, but do they create problems with cleaning-- around the four places the legs rest on the floor, for example.
- With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people.
- Q: Standard height of bathroom vanity light?
- I really don't know of any hard, fast rule governing the height of vanity lights. The idea is to cast a shadowless light upon your face so a person can see all parts of his/her face when shaving, putting on makeup, etc. To this end, the light should come in at an angle no steeper than 45 degrees. For most vanities, this height would be between 6.5 to 7 feet.
- Q: China bathroom cabinet manufacturers where concentrated
- Party Hill Group benefits the village have farmers have
- Q: I bought a vanity made by American Standard. It has a wood-like paper applied on it, with some material (glaze or varnish etc). Can I use such paper material on the kitchen cabinets? Does it last? Where do they sell wood paper? The stain seems to be fully absorbed by the wood so it is not coming off. I dont like to paint the cabinets. However, this wood paper gives some shade/grain-like look to the bathroom vanity. I want the kitchen cabinets to look similar.
- The height of the kitchen cabinet is not really the problem, but the depth can be problematic for some people. Most kitchen base cabinets are 24 inches deep, where bathroom cabinets can be 14, 16, 18, etc. If you use the kitchen cabinet, do you have a vanity ready for this? It would be a huge sink. If you're remodeling, I'd suggest going to check out samples of bathroom vanity cabinets. The depth of the vanity varies and cultured tops can be any size. They are always on sale at Home Depot. Consider something that is not deep and something you can live with. Another option would be to consider a pedestal sink and these can be very shallow in depth. You should consider doing some customizing since you will be both using this. My wife is 5'3 using a pedestal sink and uses the mirror just fine. I had a mirror cabinet mounted 3 lower than standard and she's happy with the results. If you have that extra kitchen cabinet, don't use it in the bathroom. It will work better in the garage. It will save you grief in the long run because as you get older, you won't want to lean over the sink to get to the mirror.
- Q: Bathroom cabinet is called what is inside the toilet wash cabinet, what is the law ah, such as bathroom cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and there,
- Of course you can say that the counter cupboard counter wash cabinet
- Q: The furniture in my room is all finished, polished wood. I leave my hair & make up products on my vanity and my mom does not want the wood to be ruined so she wants me to put some kind of protective material on it to cover the wood surface. I've already tried this sticky, holey cover up but that didn't work because product would seep through. I think I may try to put a clear, book cover type material and pretty much just cover my whole vanity surface with it like I'm wrapping a present up. Any suggestions?
- Most bathroom vanities are wood and while this versatile material is commonly used in the bathroom, it's important to learn how to take care of it properly. By taking the necessary steps to protect your bathroom wood vanities, you can ensure that your vanity will last for years. When weather is very dry, moisture will evaporate from your hard wood and the furniture will shrink a bit as a result. Your bathroom wood vanities will have the opposite reaction and expand a bit due to the humidity in your bathroom. These natural changes should not affect the quality of your bathroom wood as long as you make sure your bathroom is properly ventilated to allow the wood to dry. Tips for cleaning your vanity include: Mild non-alkaline soap and water solution is fine to clean your hard wood furniture. Pretest the solution on an out of sight section to make sure it doesn't damage the finish before you proceed. Dry immediately after you clean with a soft cloth. * Wood cleaner and wax can benefit your bathroom wood vanities if they are not urethane-finished. Wax on urethane-finished surfaces will only collect dust, not repel it. * Water spots are common on bathroom wood vanities. You can remove these spots by covering the stain with a clean blotter and pressing a warm iron to the blotter. Home remedies for water spots include buffing the stain with salad oil, mayonnaise or white toothpaste. Wipe your vanity dry and then wax or polish. Protect the finish of your vanity by testing an out of sight section of your vanity before you apply any cleaner to the outside. Chances are that you'll use your bathroom wood vanity every day. Whether you have an antique, rustic, or modern vanity, taking care of your vanity will ensure that it continues to be a lovely addition to your home despite daily use.
- Q: I have an outdated bathroom vanity (double sink) that I'd like to update but on a budget. The counter top and sink is beige in color (which matches the toilet and bathtub) and the wood cabinets underneath is oak (with a bit of grooved paneling). I can't afford to get all white fixtures so I thought I'd re-stain or paint the oak in a dark chocolate brown or dark walnut (?) or even almost a black just to give a good contrast in color. What do you think of the color combo? Beige sink, counter top with dark wood? or what do your think of a dark green or blue wood stain?I will be updating the faucet fixtures to silver and re-tiling the showers in a blue/green hue.thanks!
- I would not paint the vanity dark. Paint it a lighter color; off white, cream, beige. The beige is not a bad color. My tile is Pink/gray and the bathtub is Pink. Everything else has been changed out to white. The tile is in excellent condition and I have no plans of getting rid of it. I am just going with the color and it looks really cute....retro. We bought a vanity top at a thrift store for $10 and got a new faucet. The tub is hid by a shower curtain, so no one realizes it is pink unless I tell them. Good Luck
- Q: My dog decided to chew off a corner of our bathroom vanity, which is made out of particle board. I am checking to see if it's possible to repair the cabinet. Would wood putty or some other substance work to recreate the corner edge? If you have any ideas for how to repair or replace particle board, I'd be grateful! The other option, of course, is to buy a new vanity and replace it ourselves. Would this be easier (and/or more cost-effective) than trying to repair the cabinet? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!
- Particle board doesn't lend itself to repair very well. It is rather fragile. Since the dog chewed it, I assume this is very near the bottom front of the vanity. With this in mind, I would say any repair that doesn't completely replace the portion damaged will in time be damaged again. The OKorderr portions of vanities and the corners are subject to being hit by your feet, mops, brooms and maybe the vacuum cleaner. This will leave your short cut repair open to being abused and finally failing.
