Calcium Silicon Powder
1. Description:
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.
Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:
(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.
(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.
(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

- Q: What are three properties of metals and how do they relate to the nature of metallic bonding??
- the metal gives up electrons and becomes a positively charged cations an ion with a positive charge is a cation
- Q: Or is it just christians playing metal?and if it is a genre....do the band have to be christians (i don't really know what i mean)
- A metal is a chemical element that is a good conductor of both electricity and heat, forms cations and ionic bonds with non-metals. In chemistry, a metal (Ancient Greek métallon, μ?ταλλον) is an element, compound, or alloy characterized by high electrical conductivity..... just kidding *nervous laugh* o_O
- Q: Why do objects made of metal feel colder than objects made of wood?
- True metal is any style of metal that has significantly ties to traditional heavy metal. True metal includes traditional heavy metal, thrash, death, black, doom, progressive, power, folk, etc. Nu metal, metalcore, and deathcore are not metal. The problem with genres like nu metal is that it takes minimal elements from heavy metal and its derivatives, most of its influences come out of grunge and other styles, among them industrial and rap. As for metalcore/deathcore, punk and its derivatives are not metal when you add too much punk to metal it ceases to be metal and vice versa, there are very few metalcore bands that have a mix of metal and punk in such a ratio that it can actually be considered metal.
- Q: I love metal, mostly thrash and doom metal. I don't really like nu-metal, but most metalheads seem to hate it. Why is that?
- King okorder
- Q: What is the difference between metal atoms and metallic ions?
- Depends on what type of metal, quality, source, where you're selling it, etc. Its hard to give a roundabout estimate.
- Q: Predict whether a reaction takes place in each of the following instances.Silver metal is added to hot water or exposed to steam.Zinc metal is added to hot water or exposed to steam.Chromium metal is added to hydrochloric acid. Lead metal is added to cold water. Mercury metal is added to hydrochloric acid
- Yes it's metal, not very good metal but metal all the same
- Q: whats the story order of the metal gear solid series is it like 3 then 1 then 2 and finally 4
- Power Metal+Melodic Death Metal+a tiny bit of Black Metal+Viking Folk Music=Ensiferum Power Metal+Melodic Death Metal+a tiny bit of Black Metal=Children of Bodom Black Metal+Classical Music=Dimmu Borgir Black Metal+Finnish Folk Music=Finntroll Melodic Death Metal+a tiny bit of Stoner Metal+a tiny bit of Rock Music=late period Carcass Heavy Metal+Norwegian Folk Music=Korpiklaani
- Q: whats the coolest metal drum intro in metalcore or what ever branch of metal.
- Soft Metal. Does that even exist?
- Q: Thier are alot of different types of metal music. Death metal, Glam metal, punk mental, ans so one. Can you name all the types?
- Black metal vs. Death metal, winner: don't care Symphonic metal vs. Progressive metal, winner: probably symphonic Folk metal vs. Viking metal, winner: they're both awesome! Heavy metal vs. Thrash metal, winner: maybe heavy Nu metal vs. Rap metal, winner: Nu Melodic death metal vs. Alternative metal, winner: alternative, MAYBE melodic death favourite bands: too many to list...
- Q: NOT what does acid do to metal! I already know that it weathers it!!!What does metal(iron,magnesium,copper..) do to acids?Weaker or stronger?pH level changes??Please help! I need this 4 my project!Thanx!
- I'm assuming that you are asking about acids and bases in water in my answer. Metals should not be considered as bases in a direct sense, because their reaction with water, if any, must first involve oxidation - in which the metal donates electrons to water and the water reacts to form hydrogen gas, plus hydroxide (so, yes, after reaction the solution is basic). Some metals (so called active metals) do this reaction - these include all the group 1 and group 2 metals (Li, Na, K, Rb, Ba, Ca, Sr, and Ba - with Mg the reaction is slow and it is very slow for Be). Other metals will not react with water at all (like silver or gold), other only react with acidic aqueous solutions. In all cases where reaction occurs, there is oxidation of metal AND formation of hydroxide (or reaction of the hydroxide formed with H+). Metal oxides of electropositive metals often react to form hydroxides, which can then dissolve as bases. The metal hydroxides are bases (or yield the base hydroxide when they dissolve). Added note: Electropositive metals are those from which taking an electron is relatively easy - the most electropositive metals are those on the left hand side of the periodic table (like those I listed.)
