Q: I am looking to purchase a new house and they have R38 as an upgradeI want to know if this is well worth itBy the way I am in Arizona.
the idea behind 'insulation' is to reduce the loss of cool / warm air from escaping an enclosuresome folks think insulation is meant to keep outsidee temps outsid.but it don't work like that Installers will explain the principals of temperature control inside an enclosure.what steps are needed to get the highest effective means of containment , with the least loss to escapage or drafts Attics are a homes most compromised area for insulationand the easiest to rectify or fix R38 is good to excellent for most of the country ask your local builders supply what the recommended rate for your locality is.they will tell you precisely.
Q: I am 11 years old and i am quite fat.
It probably has sport features like a rear spoiler, left and right spoilers (running along the sides of the doors)Often times, it has very little to do with the actual performance of the vehicle (although some sport editions have more powerful engines)it's ususally aesthetic.
Q: I need to solve some major heating issues in my 1960 homeWe have a very old and inefficient gas furnace in our garage/basementOur house basically leaks most of our heat in the winterWe have hardwood floors and my room and my son's room is directly above the garage/basementWhen it's cold our rooms feel like an ice boxI understand that we have some serious insulation to doIf we're not on the budget-bill program in the winter my gas bill is $300 or more a monthI only have $900 to spend on either a furnace or insertWould it be better to buy a new furnace or get a gas insert for my masonry fireplace for this winter? The fireplace is already prepared for a vent-free gas insertLast year we got a quote for about $2,000 to replace the furnaceWe are going to be really scraping by this season and I'm pretty down about itIt's going to be a long cold lonely winterI wish Bob Vila was my personal friendAny suggestions would be much appreciatedThank you.
I live in a house like that and I scrimped and saved for about 3 years to get a modern hi-tech furnaceMy gas bills went down about 25%
Q: I'm new at using crewel kits, and just successfully completed stitching onto a complex patternMy problem is that the very fine guide lines of the pattern itself still show through the stitching at many places (bright yellow lines on brown fabric)I asked at a fabric shop and they said those lines sometimes come out with washing, but I used wool yarn which shouldn't be washedSomeone else said those lines are sewn into the fabric and can be removed with miniature scissors, but the lines are so tiny it would take weeks to remove them allAny ideas? Thanks.
Technically a router can guard 255 finished connections, alongside with the 4 ports for under pressure connections which maximum routers haveeven however, the instruments are all sharing bandwidth, so together as technically available, that's not cautioned to connect that manyalmost a router can guard a dozen on the spot instruments with genuine looking overall performance till they're all downloading video clipsadditionally, distance from the router is a key element.
Q: For an attic that is not being used as living spaceWhich side of the fiberglass insulation should face down? In other words, should I see the paper backing or the fiberglass after I put it down.
Paper facing you is standardCertainly that only applies to roll typeMore common lately, even in a non living space is blown inWhat R value are you trying to achieve? How well insulated is the rest of the house? Overkill in an attic can't hurt eitherJust my two sense
Q: I've never been able to blow my hair straight properlyUsually I just use a comb and the blow dryer and just sort of work through it until i recently learned that a proper brush actually makes a difference so I went to buy a brush but I got so confused with all these options ceramic, anti bacterial, bristle brush, nylon brush, holes, no holes.etc! Can someone help me please? are there any known brands? what should i look for in a brush??thx!
Pre heat grillLightly toss with olive oil, sea salt and black pepper, Cook under very hot grill until just slightly charedsprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheeseEnjoy!
Q: What's the difference between blanket, comforter, duvet?
Hi there :) A duvet (pronounced /du?ve?/, from the French duvet /dyv?/ down) is a type of bedding— a soft flat bag traditionally filled with down or feathers, or a combination of both and used on a bed as a blanketDuvets originally came out of rural Europe and were made of Eider, a type of duck's down, which is well known for its usefulness as an insulatorA comforter is a type of bedding — a soft flat bag used on a bed as a type of bed coverIt is filled with either an artificial material (such as polyester batting) or a natural materialA comforter usually doesn't cover the pillows or box spring of the bedIt is basically a luxurious thick, fluffy blanket that people put on their bed to achieve a much higher level of comfort and warmthA similar type covering made from feathers (often including down) is generally referred to as a duvetA blanket is a type of bedding, generally a large, rectangular piece of cloth, intended to keep the user warm, especially while they sleepBlankets are distinguished from sheets by their thickness and purpose; the thickest sheet is still thinner than the lightest blanket, because blankets are for warmth, while sheets are for hygiene, comfort and aestheticsBlankets are subdivided into many types, including quilts, duvets, and comforters, depending on their thickness, construction and/or fill materialElectric blankets are heated by electricityBlankets were traditionally made of wool, while sheets were made of cotton which is less irritating to the skinThese days, artificial fibers are frequently used for bothHope this helps.
Q: can you mix fiberglass insulation and a rycycled cotton insulation together and use it to insulate your home?
freezer paper for the freezer plastic bags for the fridge.
Q: I feel fine and I haven't left the house in the past few days, so I don't think I'm sickI don't think I've eaten anything out of the ordinary latelyI was worried about something a few days ago; could that have something to do with it? I just had it for the second time in the past few hours, so, ya know, I was just kinda wondering why I have it and when it's going awayThankies :)
For onions and peppers, slice them same size, and sautee in pan on stove in a little olive oil and minced garlicAdd some salt and pepper to them as they become translucentYou want to do this over medium-medium low heatThis will take some time to carmelize them, but well worthStandard baked potato wrapped in foil at 350 will take about an hour in the oventhe steak, would depend upon thickness, and type of steak, and how you want it cooked.
Q: I was at school and my first class hasn't even started (So it was about 8 in the morning), and I had to go to the nurseI have stomach pains almost constantlyI have one almost every day, and I know that's not normalI can never use the bathroom eitherIt just does not work, and if it did it wouldn't helpThe nurse told me to look into eating more high-fiber foods which will help clean out my systemCan someone list anything that is high in fiber, but still good to eat? I know apples have fiber (The skin), and I enjoy thoseI love fruitsAny yogurt? does anyone have a diet plan that would be good for me? I know everyone is an individual, remember I'm 12Answer back as soon as possible please, Thanks.
since you have ajoining hollow walls the best and easiest way to insulate this would be to use a blown insulation that can be blown in from the bottom( they will have to cut holes in each stud cavity) and it will fill the wall cavity, there will be holes at the top also however once you do the lil sheetrock patch after the insulation you will be very happy
