Q: Can plastic sheets be used for aquariums or fish tanks?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for aquariums or fish tanks, but they are generally not recommended for long-term use. While plastic sheets are economical and easy to work with, they are prone to scratching, discoloration, and can release harmful chemicals into the water over time. It is usually better to invest in a proper aquarium made from glass or acrylic, which ensures better visibility, durability, and a healthier environment for the fish.
Q: Can plastic sheets be used for signage?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for signage. They are a versatile and durable material that can be easily cut and shaped to create various types of signs. Plastic sheets are commonly used for outdoor signs, indoor displays, and even illuminated signage.
Q: Does anyone have any suggestions?
When my cat had this problem, I tried using a special two sided tape (for pets of course). It worked like a charm- every time she went to go scratch the couch, she hated the feeling of her paws getting all stuck to the tape. She stopped scratching in no time! Although I do suggest getting a scratching post of some kind since cats do need to scratch things in order to wear down their nails, and keep them sharp. The nice thing about this pet 2-sided tape is that when your cat is thoroughly trained not to scratch the couch, you can easily remove it without any damage being done to your couch. (: Hope this helps!!
Q: I have applied a thin plastic sheet over my laptop screen as protection. Now i want to remove the same. Please help me as i am not able able remove the same.
if you do not bite your nails pick at one corner and when it bubbles Pinch it and then peel it off simple
Q: We are doing a classroom simulation and want to build a space shuttle out of PVC pipe and connectors, and black and white plastic sheeting. The students sit inside at the controls. I have seen mockups made from 2 liter pop bottles but this is not that. I saw one at the science teachers convention in San Diego in 2002 but cannot seem to find the directions on how to build my own.
Your students could probably come up with some great ideas, no matter their age. They will learn more if they design the shuttle. Start them out in groups of 2 or 3 and have them brainstorm ideas (give them the rules for brainstorming). They then select the best ideas and make some simple sketches of how it can work. Them have them bring practice material from home to make a scale prototype. Use the best prototype to create your full size shuttle. Yes - I know this takes more time but they will be developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. Each additional project becomes easier for them as they build their skills. As the teacher you become the facilitator - guiding them through the project. Number1 rule for you is to NEVER NEVER answer their questions. Make them actually think. Ask them, what do you think, where could you look to find the answer, have you tried to ......
Q: Would you please help me find clear, acetate sheets that are heat resistant and thick enough to be a card rather than just overlay a card?
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/ayg2G I agree with the other person just check with your friend or the person if possible before you do something to screw your project
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to bending in extreme temperatures?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to bending in extreme temperatures.
Q: What are the insulation properties of plastic sheets?
Plastic sheets generally have good insulation properties as they are non-conductive materials that resist the flow of heat and electricity. They provide thermal insulation by effectively reducing heat transfer through conduction, making them suitable for various applications such as packaging, construction, and electrical insulation. Additionally, plastic sheets can also offer some level of sound insulation, depending on their thickness and composition.
Q: It's flat, like paper, but with a layer of plastic over top of it that has grooves into it that refracts the image printed on the paper. You used to get them in cereal/crackerjack boxes, or printed on a child's plastic ruler, or sometimes even the cover of a book would have them. Depending on the angle that you hold them, you see different images. You could tip them back and forth to produce a little 5 or 6 frame animation. Or some of them even let you see some basic 3D stereoscopic images. You don't need to wear 3D glasses or anything, it's just a flat thing. What's that technology called? I'm trying to find info about them and I don't know what they're called. Is there a company that will make them for me?
You may be talking about a Fresnel lens which is flat but provides magnification. It consists of grooves in the plastic. You can see odd optical things when you bend it or look at it at an angle. You may also be talking about a polarizing filter which physically blocks some of the light waves and allows other light waves to pass thru. The grooves are too small to see. I suppose you could have a polarized Fresnel lens.
Q: What are plastic sheets?
Plastic sheets are thin, flat, and flexible materials made from various types of plastic, commonly used for a wide range of purposes such as packaging, construction, crafting, and protecting surfaces.
