Pvc 1/2 inch high density foam sheet is made in a closed cell foam structure. This structure gives it the properties that make it useful as a material distinct from regular PVC plastics. Solid foam products are classified as being either open or closed cell. The open-celled foams have a system of tiny pores running throughout that are all connected to each other. These types of foam absorb liquids into the pore structure. Closed cell foam does not have pores that connect to each other.

PVC foam does not appear like many of the other foam products people are familiar with. Instead, it is almost always compressed into thin sheets that actually resemble cardboard more than larger and more pliant foam products. However, it is still a foam, it is just created in a foam board structure so that it can be cut and shaped easily while taking advantage of the strengths of the material.

Q:What are plastic sheets used for?
Plastic sheets are used for various purposes such as packaging, construction, insulation, signage, and protection.
Q:Are plastic sheets resistant to breakage during transportation?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to breakage during transportation due to their durable and flexible nature.
Q:Are plastic sheets resistant to warping or bending over time?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to warping or bending over time due to their inherent flexibility and durability. However, the extent of their resistance may vary depending on the type and thickness of the plastic material used.
Q:as thick as ,5mm to 1.2mmdon't say try google or something stupid like that(a webstore please)
You should try Home Depot or Lowes
Q:s. If it takes 1.026 x 10^-4 s for the bullet to pass throuhg the plastic, what average force impeded the bullets's motion through the plastic? please help
Force is change of momentum / time initial momentum of the bullet is Pi = 15*10^-3 kg*300 m/s final momentum is Pf = 15*10^-3 kg*90 m/s change of momentum ?P = 15*10^-3(300 - 90) = 3.15 kgm/s And F = ?P/t = 3.15 kgm/s / 1.026*10^-4 s F = 30701.75 kgm/s^2 (= N) OG
Q:Are plastic sheets waterproof?
Yes, plastic sheets are waterproof. They are made from materials that repel water and prevent it from passing through.
Q:My house is 50 years old and is lacking in insulation in the garage ceiling. Above the garage are bedrooms. Currently there is 3 of fiberglass with an aluminum vapor barrier within a 2x10 joist. I'd like to put R-30 fiberglass in the cavities but the 25' rolls of insulation are unfaced and the faced R-30 rolls are only in 48 batts. 4' sections are easier to put up but that is not a concern of mine.
Yes you need the moisture barrier and it also helps with the hollow sound of the laminate. when you go to put down the barrier make sure to keep it a little long at the walls, make sure seams are tight and taped together with duct tape it will help keep out the moisture. after the floor is installed go back and trim the edges of the barrier but keep enough to sort of tuck under the edge of the wall, if you have moisture coming in you want it to go under the barrier not on top it will cause the floor to mold, expand, warp etc.
Q:We are in the process of building a roof over our concrete 10x10 patio. We have put 2 4x4's on the front two corners and the other edge without 4x4s is attached to the side of the house. We are using 2x6's along the length of it as support along the top and then will top with 1x4's before putting on the roof sheets of our choosing. Our neighbor that has helped us used white plastic looking sheets on his roof of the same design (I believe the brand is tuftex?). When we went into the store the other day I noticed Green Metal Sheets (Tin I believe)... the price difference isn't really an issue but I want it to be decent quality at the same time... any suggestions or comments on the pros and cons of each? Any other ideas? Thanks
Scotto is right about not using metal in a salt environment, and the noise factor. The last consideration is that metal will absorb more heat from the sun and Polycarbonate or vinyl will keep your patio a bit cooler. Also if you opt for the opaque type you will have more light.
Q:the unit is built in the wall. window covers dont fit.air leask from the main vent.the maintenacne guy told me to cut cardboard strips and stick it outside (exterior ) of the building its on a high flooralso cold air leaking from the filter above the kitchen cooking range..please help asap
Not much to do with the AC except cover it tightly on the inside with a plastic sheet secured tightly. Covering the outside could be dangerous due to height and what if someone turns it on while that outside cover is on, you could damage the unit. Thats just the nature of those things, they are a big hole in your wall. The vent hood should have a damper that is forced open by the flow of air when the blower is on. Take off that filter and see if you can see such a thing and see if it is working properly. If you block this device off, use a non flamable material such as foil etc.
Q:Can plastic sheets withstand high temperatures?
Plastic sheets can vary in their ability to withstand high temperatures, depending on the type of plastic used. Some plastics, like polypropylene and polycarbonate, have good heat resistance and can withstand high temperatures without deforming or melting. However, others, like PVC or polyethylene, have lower heat resistance and may deform or melt at high temperatures. It is important to consider the specific type of plastic sheet and its intended application when determining its ability to withstand high temperatures.
