- Q: So I went to staples and had them laminate like 8 papers I HAVE to have laminated by tomorrow.... And I picked them up, came home, and they were literally my papers stuck between 2 plastic sheets. I can peel it easily and it is not sticking at all. Am I supposed to do something or did they mess up and forget something???? Please help!!!!
- It sounds like they messed up. My guess is that the machine was not hot enough to allow the laminate sheeting to bond. Yes, you should call them and go back. Laminating IS two plastic sheets with a paper between. However, when the machine is very hot, the plastic softens and bonds. Did you trim the papers? You should always leave a narrow edge of plastic around the edges, perhaps a quarter inch. If you trim it exactly against the paper, there is nothing on the edge to seal and bond. If they did the trimming, then check the edging. If there is a quarter edge beyond the paper and it is separating, then take it back. That could be a machine not hot enough. Take your receipt.
- Q: the unit is built in the wall. window covers dont fit.air leask from the main vent.the maintenacne guy told me to cut cardboard strips and stick it outside (exterior ) of the building its on a high flooralso cold air leaking from the filter above the kitchen cooking range..please help asap
- Not much to do with the AC except cover it tightly on the inside with a plastic sheet secured tightly. Covering the outside could be dangerous due to height and what if someone turns it on while that outside cover is on, you could damage the unit. Thats just the nature of those things, they are a big hole in your wall. The vent hood should have a damper that is forced open by the flow of air when the blower is on. Take off that filter and see if you can see such a thing and see if it is working properly. If you block this device off, use a non flamable material such as foil etc.
- Q: This a training aid I bought from a place in Florida. It has lines on it to help determine proper golf pivot and swing plane. I lost the instructions and am not exactly sure how to use. Anyone have the instructions or can help me figure out how to use properly?
- The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following The Simple Golf Swing program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing.
- Q: Do plastic sheets have any impact on energy efficiency?
- Yes, plastic sheets can have an impact on energy efficiency. When properly installed, plastic sheets can act as a barrier to prevent air leaks and reduce heat transfer, thereby improving insulation and reducing energy consumption for heating or cooling purposes. Additionally, plastic sheets can help to block drafts and moisture infiltration, further enhancing the overall energy efficiency of a building.
- Q: Can plastic sheets be used for safety guards in manufacturing?
- Yes, plastic sheets can be used for safety guards in manufacturing. They are commonly used due to their durability, flexibility, and transparency, which allows for visibility and protection against various hazards in the manufacturing process.
- Q: I am making a craft project. I went to a craft store and purchased a yard of plastic in the fabric dept. I cut two 6X6 pieces and glued them with a water resistant glue. I allowed 24hrs. I then put water inside and a few hrs later noticed it was soaking through the plastic and leaking. I need a glue that will hold water inside. I hope this clarifies my question.
- I have the same problem. I have tried melting some of the plastic and pressing it between the sheets. This only seemed to melts the sheets also. I have used Gorrilla Glue, Silicone, Super Glue and Epoxy and have had no luck. Double sided tap sorta worked but it takes a ton of it. So far the best thing I have found is just using Duct tape. It's ugly and falls off in the heat of the summer but does work temporarily. I will definitely buy an iron and try that. That seems like the best idea yet. I did visit an adhessive manufacturers website and they say there is nothing invented yet that bonds sheeting together permanently. I find this hard to believe. I have used a vacumme sealer for freezer bags and it works wonderfully on really thin plastic but the thicker sheeting I need and it has no affect on that.
- Q: Do you know of any free good site for printing out home work sheets for the kg2 level children?
- It quite relies upon who you're in seek of for i searched by using the Yahoo communities and found one for Regina Spektor written rankings appropriate selection is to Google and paintings your way around because of the fact whether you do could pay some places are greater effective/greater low value than others
- Q: I got, what I thought was a great deal on photo albums. When I got them home, I discovered they are only plastic envelope type pages. After reading the covers on the albums, it says clearly says sheet protectors, so what do I need to purchase to stick my pictures on to put into these plastic sheets?I am new at scrapbooking and photo album placements!!!!
- Yes, if the work is still copyrighted (they eventually expire) then the copyright owners have the exclusive right to make copies or derivative works (transcribing it into other forms), as well as distribution or public performances, subject to certain limitations. One of those limitations is called fair use, often involving private use without any commercial gain or private profit. The mere photocopying is technically illegal, as it simply displaces the copy you SHOULD have purchased from the authorized distributors. Someone already mentioned one other exemption that involves educational use in a classroom of a non-profit school, provided the other limitations are met. Even if you go to a public library, there must be signs on the photocopy machines that instruct you about the basics of copyright law and remind you that not all copying is allowed. As for including the composer and copyright, that is common courtesy, but also insufficient to demonstrate that you have the necessary license. You could, in theory, be sued if you were to distribute photocopies of the sheet music (even for free), but there is typically little chance of anyone doing that to you for a single instance. If you take it to a retail print shop and have them run off a hundred copies, you would both be guilty of a federal felony, since they are taking money for willful infringement. Bottom line: yes, it's illegal in most cases; however, you are unlikely to be sued for one or two copies.
- Q: that's all she wants me to bring over..should I worry ?
- Oooo Oooo Can I come?
- Q: How are plastic sheets different from other materials like glass or metal?
- Plastic sheets are different from other materials like glass or metal primarily due to their composition and properties. Unlike glass, plastics are synthetic materials derived from polymers, making them more flexible, lightweight, and less brittle. Plastic sheets are also transparent or translucent, similar to glass, but are less prone to shattering. In contrast to metals, plastic sheets are non-conductive, have lower density, and offer better insulation properties. Additionally, plastics are generally more cost-effective, easier to mold, and can be manufactured in a wide range of colors and textures, making them highly versatile in various applications.
