Q: As a watering girl for the plants, and they told me I had to learn basic gardening such as what kind of grass grows in my area/region, and about the type of grass and plants, does anyone know a good website to learn about gardening that I can use now and in the future? I want to try and work my way up after being there awhile.

Q: I have one of these cookbooks, and I think it's a 75th anniversary edition, or something like that. In the retro recipe part, there's a recipe for crepes filled with spinach and four cheeses. Sadly, I've lost the recipe, and I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where I can find it online? Or, does someone actually have it and could post it on here? I'm dying to make these again, so if you can help, I'd greatly appreciate it!
This is a Better Homes Gardens recipe from the 70's. It only has 3 different cheeses but I hope it is the recipe you are looking for. Baked Appetizer Crepes 12 6-inch crepes 2 beaten eggs 2 cups ricotta cheese 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese 1 10-ounce package frozen, chopped spinach, thawed and well drained. 1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs (3 slices bread) 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 tsp. black pepper dash garlic powder 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 cup whipping cream 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1. Prepare crepes. In a bowl combine eggs, ricotta, Swiss cheeses and bread crumbs, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, pepper and garlic powder; mix well. Spoon about 1/3 cup filling into center of each crepe. roll up. Cut each rolled crepe crosswise into thirds. Place the pieces, cut side up, in a 2-quart baking dish. 2. In a small saucepan, melt butter, stir in cream and the remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens slightly. Pour the sauce over the crepes. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until heated through.
Q: I may be wrong with it's name as I don't know what it called exactly. I read this before so many years. In this u can take an empty glass bottle / tank / bulb / anything which is transperant and in which u can grow small plants of 4-7 inches. If you have any information regarding this, then let me know. and thanx in advance
it's called a terrarium.
Q: Frogs croak all night and disturb sleep.
Frogs are our Friends.Give in to their serenade. Remember that the lovely croaking sound is coming from something that is eating hundreds of pesky bugs each night. If people can get use to living next to Railroad tracks then I'll bet the frog mating sounds will grow on you.Remember, love the frog, they are your friend. Or you could go out at night and stomp all the frogs you can.
Q: Balcony garden decoration needs to pay attention to what places?
You can use small pipes to the bottom of the plant each link, or small series can also be,
Q: I am new at gardening, this is only my second year. Last year a flood destroyed the whole yard in mid july, in the begining of this season I was fighting with the groundhogs and bunnies and now the bugs! They are eating all of my chinese cabbage and lettuce. What can I do? I don't want to use chemicals on my food but does anything else actually work? I have a good garden book that has some homemade recipes but these didn't seem to have much effect. Any sugestions would be very appreciated! Thanks
insecticidal soap, Available at any home and garden store. its organic. Just make sure you rinse off your vegetables thoroughly before consuming them....

Q: Is this creature a pest that should be killed or is it harmless to a home and garden?
It's a snail, don't kill it.
Q: We are moving to a town house, it's so nice, so happy, the only thing is there is no space for a garden BUT we have this huge patio that I could have 2 big planters filled with flowers! Can you please give me some tips as well as flower suggestions for the planters? I'm in NW Pennsylvania so no tropical flowers unfortunately. I love Impatients and marigolds, tho!
Petunias are reliable container plants. Impatiens will do fine in a container and so will Marigolds, Begonias, Coleus, Million Bells, Sweet Potato Vine. Most any annuals that you find in a garden center will perform nicely in a container. Just be sure to match the plant with your surroundings, just as you would in a garden. That is, if it's a sunny area use sun loving plants and use shade lovers in low light. And, if you get bit by the plant-loving bug like me, you will wind yourself having more than just two planters. I tell myself every year: no more container plantings! Yeah, right. You can plant bulbs in those containers now and have blooms in the spring: Daffodils, Grape Hyacinth, Tulips, Crocus. I get carried away with my planting ;) Sorry so long: look around at containers that are professionally planted, both at garden garden centers and in public places like municipal buildings or on Main Street. This mightl give you inspiration for the plants you want.
