The smoke alarm works on the principle that infrared scatters in the smoke to probe the smoke which is generated by the incomplete combustion at the initial stage of the fire. It consists of photoelectric system, signal processing identification circuit and alarm circuit. The infrared scatters on the surface of the smoke when the smoke enters the darkroom of the detector, then the photoelectric diode receives the scattered light and generates the photoelectric signal current. I've had my nose pierced before, and I highly suggest you get it done by a professional. It would look better and the chances of infection would be lower. Doing the piercing yourself like that can lead to a pretty nasty mess. Imagine this: A large purple-red bump that looks suspiciously like a zit popping up next door to your new nose-ring. A blood blister. Not a pretty image. I'm going to guess you're pretty young aren't you? Eventually you're going to want to get a job, and it's difficult to get a job with a nose-ring. If you want to keep the piercing, then you're going to need a retainer to put in there. If you can't fit a regular sized nose stud in there, then you can't fit a retainer. So somewhere down the road you run a good chance of having to get rid of it after enduring all these hardships. So like I said, take it out. Let it heal up. Then, when you can, go and get it pierced by a professional. You'll be much happier with the results. (And there's tons of cute nose studs to put in!) If you refuse to take it out still, there are a few other ways to hide it. One that I know of is to cut a little piece of band-aid and place it over it. Or you can put concealer over it. And then one that I've heard of but haven't tried is to buy the largest size of fishing line at Wal-Mart, cut a piece just long enough to fit in your nose. The electric impulse can be from a light fixture using a CFL or fluorescent tubes. These can trigger a smoke or CO2 device. The recommended distance from these fixtures is 3 feet but that does not always solve the problem. Average life on thes devices is 5 years. With all the above you can check for fluorescent interference, check the age ( there is a date code on each unit).
