Q: You see a firefighter aim a fire hose from 4 feet above the ground. The equation h-0.01d^2+1.06d+d models the path of the water when h equals height in feet. Estimate, to the nearest hundredth the possible horizontal distances d (in feet) between the firefighter and the building.Whats the equation and solution?
Since everyone else is suggesting Ugly Stiks and Lightning Rods, I guess won't bother mentioning Loomis or St. Croix rods Wait, I think I just did.
Q: Not from the area, The idea of rattle snakes and Grizzly Bears rely freaks me out. Does anyone live in the area have any tips for bear or wildlife encounters? (please say where you are from in your answer)
The smoke detector is most likely wired into the power of the house, and the battery is only a backup for the power running to the unit. It will beap however, either when the battery is dying, or if there is no battery in it. Take the smoke detector off the ceiling, and see if a wire is attached to it from the ceiling. Most likely, you can unplug the wire easily, which will stop the beeping.
Q: Why is the fire blanket broken when pulled?
Fire blanket, fire, fire, or by fire blankets, fire blankets, fire retardant blanket, escape blanket is made of glass fiber and other materials through special processing woven fabric, can play the role of isolating heat and flame, it can be used to fight the fire escape in the pan or coated body. Main features: burning, high temperature (550~1100 DEG C), soft texture, smooth, compact, and does not stimulate the skin, to keep away from heat body, is an ideal and effective protective layer, and is very easy to wrap the uneven surface, in the case of damage can be used repeatedly.
Q: So my mos is fire protection I found out and I can't find much information on the tech school besides its length. I heard that this career field has a high washout rate and that makes me kind of nervous. I'm not super strong but I'm not weak either, will basic prepare me or do I need to workout a lot more before hand? I've been told that this tech school is way more physical than others. What should I expect when looking at pt/training? Also how often are you in a classroom type setting studying? Any knowledge/advice is greatly appreciated!
unless its on fire dont worry anything new is gona burn off some grease and dirt for the manufactering run it again untill it stopsthrow in a few old towles or blankets so it has something to do
Q: IT IS SO ANNOYING.I'm in my dorm room right now at college, trying to study, and this f****** fire alarm beeps once every 45 seconds. How do I make it shut up!!!!!???? I can't contact anyone from the resident hall because it's so late. There's one button that says Press To Testbut I don't want to press that.I tried removing it, but it's connected by a bunch of wires. WTF is going on??? I can't concentrate!!
the road bike or cross bike MAY work, however at the price of bikes, I wouldn't risk it. A mountain bike will definitely work, and there are plenty that are really efficient and light. At the price of tires, I'd say buy 2 pairs, one for the winter that have studs and are wide, really the only safe option. And when its nicer, no snow or ice anyway, put on the other pair, more narrow and efficient for speed while still having grip for the rain. Good luck!
Q: that isn't monitored by a company for a monthly fee? Like one you installed yourself and just has a siren going off if someone breaks in. What is the brand? Do you like it?
Insulated wall reduces heat conduction from outside to inside - polystyrene? Paint the outside white to reflect heat radiation (infra red).
Q: I play Xbox like call of duty and stud and right know we have road runner basic up to 10 MBPS. Also I have a wired connection to te Internet if they effects anything and then we have like 4 computers but no one does online gaming on them. I would like to know if I will notice muh of a difference or not?
Search nearby your address for Refractory Suppliers - who do fire brick, frax blanket, etc. - although insulating fire brick (the light stuff) is often sold only in box quantities - ask if they have cutoffs from creating cut down brick shapes. An alternative would be Fireplace and BBQ places (we have them in my town) that have the materials for construction. Vermiculite is fire proof and used more often for annealing beads and is available from gardening supply places in varying quantities. It is very light and fluffy (perlite is heavier) and in the garden holds moisture in a soil mix.
Q: How closely related are single sign on and access control?
yes and depending on the location they have staff in the building 24-7, in my city they have nighttime stalk employees that work from closing untill opening.
Q: 94 jeep grand cherokee automatic, 4x4, 4.0 liter, getting about 13 mpg. this is under normal driving conditions (some freeway and mostly city). i would expect it to get around 15-17. what could be causing this? it does have studded tires currently
Any municipality that has parking ordinances also has a published list of fines. A simple phone call to the parking enforcement bureau (or your public library reference desk) should be all that's necessary to find out. You can probably google your city and fire hydrant parking to find out all you need to know. Most people would simply admit they were wrong, pay the administrative fine and learn from the experience. In the City of Boston, for instance, it's 10 feet from a fire hydrant and $100 fine.
Q: I am purchasing winter tires soon and don't know if I should get them with studs or without. I live in an area where it snows like crazy, I just moved here. Before I moved here I would just put two winter ones on the front (I have a front wheel drive car) and I'm good, so my knowledge of winter tires is slim.I know it's going to be nasty here. I heard that studded tires make it difficult to break and make clear roads feel like you are driving on ice. Is this true? What are your experiences? What do you think my safest choice would be?
I.P.T issues many trade hand books I personally have 10. Sarrett also make pocket charts on many subjects and measurements and scales
