Q: Why are group 2 metals harder and why do they have higher melting points than group 1 metals?
They are most widely considered Nu Metal - which technically IS a type of metal but many fans of more original Thrash/Heavy metal usually do not consider nu metal real metal because of the more commercial friendly structure of the songs. But personally I'd consider them Metal - even if I'm not too into them myself.
Q: any movies about heavy metal like Metal: A Headbangers Journey and Rock Star?
Nu metal is a term to define a genre of metal which appeared in the late 90's that combined heavy metal with hip-hop on a mainstream level. The idea was attempted before in the late 80s by Aerosmith and Run DMC with Walk This Way and Anthrax and Public Enemy with Bring the Noise. The idea was too far ahead of its time unfortunately. Bands emerged such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park to popularize the genre. Mudvayne and Slipknot also fall into this category but the majority of these bands have changed their sound (some don't exist) due to the fact that Nu Metal was merely a fad.
Q: Whats the difference between Metal core, death core, grind core, death metal, doom metal, melodic death metal, black metal, stoner metal? ive listened to a few and they all kinda sound the same to me with a few exceptions. oh and also whats the difference between punk and hard core punk?
Metal Music
Q: I go for metal music.
There's a flow chart with metal genealogy that shows you the origins of all the different metal genres, dating right back to the mid 60s up until now. (Since people have already given you definitions, now know the origins)
Q: What is the best Japanese Black Metal band?
on metal always wash the metal with white vinager then use a oil slow dry metal primer from dunn edwards paints try going to there web site good luck
Q: can anyone suggest any good metal bands please

Q: i read somewhere, that there are higher concentrations of metals in soil near high volume traffic. How does the metal get there?
sparks/fire flys, I know, mine has done it more than once, lol
Q: You can name more than one band if you want to, just don't make it extensive...And it doesn't have to be a favorite, just a band you enjoy listening from each sub-genre. (I might be missing some sub-genres, you can add if you want to).I'll start:Progressive Metal: Dream TheaterDoom Metal: While Heaven WeptBlack Metal: AgallochThrash Metal: Vio-LenceDeath Metal: PossessedGlam Metal: Motley CruePost-Metal: CallistoSludge Metal: BaronessStoner Metal: Electric WizardPower Metal: HelloweenGothic Metal: Virgin BlackSymphonic Metal: HaggardMetalcore: Misery SignalsBQ: Favorite band out of your list?BQ2: What do you think Y!A needs more of?BQ3: cow______.
corrosive metals: aluminum iron tin non corrosive metals platinum nitinol (nickel titanium alloy) gold yes acid is corrosive
Q: Can anybody name about three corrosive metals and three non-corrosive metals? Also is acid corrosive?
A transition metal carbene complex is a organometallic compound featuring a divalent organic ligand. The divalent organic ligand coordinated to the metal center is called a carbene. All transition metals form such complexes. Many methods for synthesizing them and reactions utilizing them have been reported. The term carbene ligand is a formalism since many are not derived from carbenes and almost none exhibit the reactivity characteristic of carbenes. Described often as M=CR2, they represent a class of organic ligands intermediate between alkyls (-CR3) and carbynes (≡CR). They feature in many catalytic reactions in the petrochemical industry and are of increasing interest in fine chemicals. The characterization of (CO)5Cr(COCH3(Ph)) in the 1960's is often cited as the starting point of the area,[1] although carbenoid ligands had been previously implicated.
Q: any black metalers out there.seriously i see none its like theyre hiding or something all i see are skaters and punks but i dont see any metal fans especially black metal.any here around la???
I think that metal falls into the rock catagory. With out Rock 'n' Roll there would be NO metal! Both are awsome because the writers have talent. There is to muc cRAP out there today and not as many actual musicians.
