- Q: I need help with my white tile grout. Nothing I do keeps/gets it clean. Any tips for an easy fix to dirty grout, or does anyone know if it‘s possible to add color to grout after it‘s been set?
- Products like Clorox or Oxyclean will work if the stain is caused by an organic material. If it is caused by soil or clay that is basically a mineral without a carbon base, the stain probably is permanent. In my experience when staining a concrete floor next to a tile shower we inadvertantly sprayed stain on the shower floor. The pure white grout turned reddish brown just like the concrete did. We had used an acid based stain. I believe you could easily stain the grout successfully. You may want to try it in a non-conspicous area first.
- Q: What are the dimensions of the tile?
- According to the use of space in three categories: the following are in mm (mm) as a unit Outer wall: 100X100,150X150,50X100,50X150,200X200,200X300,300X300 Inside wall tiles: 100X100,100X200,100X250,150X250,200X300,250X300,250X400,300X450, (large size wall is the most recently used more.) 300X600,400X800 Floor tiles: 300X300, 300X600, 330X330, 333X333, 400X400, 400X800, 450X450, 450X900, 500X500, 600X600, 600X900, 800X800, 1000X1000, 1200X1200. and so: 1, that is basically an integer, and is an integer ending in 0 and 5. this is correct. In addition to antique tiles (330X330, 333X333) 2, an edge of 40cm, the other side is greater than 40cm tile more? Answer is not much, there are two: 250X400 wall tiles 400X800 tiles 3, inside the bathroom with 20 * 40 more? Used to use more, but now very few manufacturers do, from the aesthetic point of view of this specification does not look good, now with more is 250X400, 300X450. These two inner wall.
- Q: I live in an apartment and ive never had floor tiles like these. There is concrete underneath but I think these are ceramic tiles on top.I have no clue what to use to bring back the shine.Any suggestions would be helpful
- Try this mix. Take an almost empty of dishsoap ( palmolive works best), 1/3 cup borax and some water. mix it up and only use a little. take a scrub brush and get on your hands and knees and scrub. A little elbow greese will get them to shine. scrubbing a floor will also burn a ton of calories. this mix will also work on the sink, tub and shower. make sure to rinse with cold water real well.
- Q: I don‘t want to take my tiles off my bathroom walls, but i would like to put some mosaic tiles up, can i put them on top of existing tiles
- Yes you can.Left over or broken tiles can be used to make unique and beautiful mosaic designs rather than just getting thrown away.
- Q: There is a white ceramic tile floor with white grout in my bathroom. Some of the mastic (I think it was a combination mastic and grout, that could be used either way) is on top of the tile and dried on. Is there any way I can get it off there other than trying to chip at it and possibly ruin the tile?
- You need to clean off all the mastic from the wall and the soap dish and use thinset. The mastic will not dry in the shower. After you get it back on avoid getting it wet for a couple days.
- Q: Once I removed the old tiles is there anything else I should do before I lay the new ones?
- Make shore to remove all thinset from floor before installing new tile
- Q: I don‘t have a ton of money for my kitchen but I feel I can do some minor things. I) Orange countertop MUST go. I am seriously considering due the lack of counter space in the kitchen, what you see is my only countertop space, is move the fridge to the wall on the right, which you cant realy see in this pic, but there is an inside interior wall im going to set the fridge against, and then extend the countertop the wall, and put a base cabinet below it, and one above it to be the same size vertically as the one next to the fridge. A neutral beige-ish countertop, and then probably a range top thing for above the stove. Replace old sink faucet too.My question about making a tile backsplash for above the sink, would ie be more logical to measure it out, and put the tiles on a piece of plywood and screw that 2 the wall instead of grouting the wall and tiles affixed to the wall directly.

- Q: Does all kinds of tiles calculate the formula per square meter? For example, a few pieces of 300X600 is a square meter?
- This is like a primary school students will be considered it! 300X600 unit is centimeter right, that is, 0.3X0.6 = 0.18 square meters, 1 square meter ÷ 0.18 = 5.555, that is, five and a half more than a little bit.
- Q: Two tiles are randomly chosen one at a time and placed in the order in which they were chosen. Determine the probability that the tiles are:i.COii.Both vowels
- Probability of CO: 1/(7*6) = 1/42 Combos of Vowels: 3*2 = 6 Probability of 2 Vowels: 6/42 = 3/21 = 1/7
- Q: We want to pull out our carpeting and use self stick linoleum tiles. What do we need to know?
- You will need a sound subfloor. If you are working with a wood subfloor, just clean it up after pulling the carpet and tack strips. If you are working with a basement, you have to be concerned about moisture coming up through the concrete. That will lift your tiles very quickly. You might be able to seal the concrete and they can tell you that at a flooring store. The tiles are easy to put down, but you want follow good procedure for making them straight and neat. Lots of websites showing how to do that. I have seen some great new tile products that look like ceramic tile or other natural products. Some use a lock down seam to avoid the problem of the tiles moving apart and showing a gap.
