- this is not exactly a dumb question because some people feel that they are too dark or too light but just be happy and think you're beautiful the way you are. i'm not going to sit here and down talk to you because of how you feel but a few suggestions are limit your time in the sun, keep you skin clean, drink good amounts of water nothing loaded with sugar and artificial flavors, and you can use creams you might find in the store such as neutrogena, or clean nd clear for skin lightning not for acne, daily. eventually you'll see some results, not much but you will see a difference.

Watts is a measure of power consumption not light output and 99% of the time will not be helpful in determining if you light is good for a given coral. What LED system do you have? Is it high output? Some LED isn't going to be much usable light output at all, and other LED lights can rival metal halides on output. Also the type of reef matters on lighting. There are some corals that can thrive under little to no light (like a sun coral) and some need very intense lighting (like many acropora). Many are moderate light requirements and do well in a wide range of lighting (like many LPS such as brains).

The air gets a tiny bit hotter and scatters a tiny bit of the light. But air does not interact strongly with light.
