FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: Is there a brand logo on the back of the tiles
There are regular manufacturers of ceramic tile products will be marked on the back of their own logo; easy to identify;
Q: Can you Spackle over ceiling tile and then paint it, or do you have to rip all the tiles out and Sheetrock the ceiling to have a seamless ceiling?
Spackle Ceiling
Q: I understand most of the rules of pai gow tiles, but one part that I am not clear on is banking. If I am the banker, do I get to see the ways that the players set their tiles before I set mine? Or do I secretly set my tiles just like everyone else and then we all reveal simultaneously?
Whether tiles or cards, in Pai Gow, the Banker sets his hand last. There is only 1 exception. When a player chooses to be the Banker, and s/he chooses play against other players AND to also have money from the casino dealer play against him too, then the order is: Other players, the Banker, then the casino dealer. Now if YOU happen to be that Banker, you do NOT want to try peaking at what other players are doing with their tiles! They will think you are cheating. No matter what, when it comes to revealing the tiles (or cards), the casino dealer will always reveal first. Next will be the player who is the Banker (if there is a player who chose to be Banker), then the casino dealer will flip over the player's tiles, one player at a time. In a casino, you aren't allowed to touch the tiles once the dealer starts revealing them. (In most casinos.)
Q: I need two more floors tiles to match my kitchen floor. The floor was down before we moved in. how i can find out what type of tile it is?
If you have any loose pcs not yet installed the backs can give me clues as to what it is. Along with the year it was originally installed ( approx) and the exact size of the tile.. Any thing over 8/10 years old you may as well look for some thing close in the exact size. Beyond that your looking at reclaimed tile discount outlets looking for dropped tile lines. There is a few places that specialize in buying and selling of dropped lines of tiles. They change and discontinue tiles every 7/10 years to keep up with changing styles and colors patterns. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q: I would like to know what steps to take to prepare the concrete floor for ceramic tile. Part of the floor is cement and part is painted. Do I have to prepare the painted portion before tiling?
I tile every day of my life and since the paint is assumed to be part of some aesthetic over concrete, you can scuff it with a wire brush, belt sander, grinder, cleaning all debris. Beyond that, concrete, unless sealed, is a prime substrate for tile/mortar. Certainly you should check for level, as in depressions or any rise, then proceed as is standard Measure snap two perpendicular center lines adjust those lines for cuts and the least waste work from deep in to an exit point test level with a level or hand use a 1/4 in. toothed rectangular trowel to spread mortar use a poly based mortar use rubber spacers at 1/4 or 1/8 inch do not press aggressively save cuts and cut installs for last and do not attempt to kneel on tiles installed to add a piece missed perhaps remove cove base if it exists to replace later wait no less than 24 hours for dry/set time use Poly blend grout of you choice in color mix both mortar and grout to mashed potato consistency fill grout spaces after removing spacers use a rectangular rubberized spreader/squeegie wipe with a barely damp sponge first time then in 2 or 3 re-wipes as the grout sets you can increase dampness (grout sets faster than mortar) by the third wipe of grout excess you should be ok and notice upon drying a DUST that can easily be mopped away after the fact. allow 24 hrs for grout dry/set If you have a pedestal sink, pull it. Pull the toilet as well Tile to the sewage drain flange and replace with a new wax ring with a rubber flange extender embedded. Mop clean after two days and enjoy Steven Wolf Just my two sense
Q: I‘m redoing a sunroom in florida and the floor is in good condition but white textured vinyl floor tile prof laid, I want a cork tile look and wondered if there is a plastic type paint to do the job. It will not get a lot of shoe traffic. TKS.
You can paint the floor tile with a 100% sucess. However, its going to be an epoxy 2 part floor paint. Here is how to do it. You will need to rent an orbital floor sander to clean and roughen up the surface with 400 grit paper. Then mix the two part epoxy and use an applicator. Im not certain how you'd achieve the cork tile look, but with some expermentation, im sure you could. The Epoxy floor is available in Chicago here at Menards this week for $38 and it covers 250 sq feet on new floor and 500 on 2nd application. The MAB paints also sells a similar material with much more color selections.
Q: Currently the stairs are carpeted. I have heard that if this is not done properly the tiles will crack. How do I ensure that the stairs are level and stable enough for the tiles? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
don't , they are way to slippery, accidents waiting to happen!
Q: 12x12 tiles, what size trowel do i use and how far apart do i space tiles?
Use a 1/4 space Trowel, The spacing for a normal Lay would be about 1/8 or 3/16 in which you'd use NON-sanded Grout. You decide on how much space you want,it changes the look and amount of grout you'll need, and more work as you go wider, Now, if you go as wide as 1/4 or 1/2 you'll need to use a Sanded Grout. Ask at the home center where you make your purchases, they are knowledgable in that department, The dept has all the accesories you need, the spacers, Trowel, Float and Sponges etc. For the Sealer, get one that is Penetrating sealer,
Q: I am making a unglazed ceramic tile-mosaic table and I know I have to seal the tiles as well as grout and then seal the grout. Can I use a tile-sealer as a grout sealer? Or do I have two use two different products?
as an installer of ceramic tile for 23 years i can feel confident that my answer will best suit you....aqua mix brand of sealers is some of the best and will seal both your UNGLAZED tile and seal your grout as well ....you need to use a penetrating sealer as it will chemically bond to the grout the other responses to your question has sealant problems because they used a silicone based sealant which is only good for 6 months and needs to be redone where the penetrating sealant is good for 15 to 20 years
Q: I‘m having linoleum put in my kitchen and I‘m want to prep the floor. We already tore the carpet up and we weren‘t sure if we should clean the carpet adhesive off the ceramic tiles, or remove the tiles from the concrete.
you should remove the linoleum before putting down the ceramic tile. you are able to tile over the linoleum, yet you want to make very certain it really is completely stuck to the concrete, wiped clean very thoroughly and etched so the skinny-set has some thing to adhere to. it really is a small section? remove the linoleum.
