 Scope of Application of the Pipe

So called “Integral fume pipe and tower” means: waste gas produced by power plant will not be exhausted from the chimney, but from FRP fume pipe to hyperbola cooling tower. The FRP fume pipe will exhaust the desulfurization waste gas to the upper air. FRP fume pipe and tower is integral, which composites the exhaust system for waste gas. Reason for selection of FRP material as fume pipe in this project is: it has good corrosion resistant property, long durable property, long service life, and cost saving. Service life of FRP pipe is 30 years long which match the life cycle of thermal power plant, avoid economic loss and trouble caused by replacement of pipe. FRP pipe itself has good corrosion resistant property, which saves the corrosion resistant fee for normal pipe. Meantime, self-weight of FRP pipe is light, no need of support, which saves construction fee of support.

For integral fume pipe and tower, application of FRP fume pipe is significant on environmental protection. Technology of “integral fume pipe and tower” was developed by Germany. Until now, it is already applied in just 4 European countries, such as Germany. Adopting cooling tower to exhaust waste gas, the clarification rate is 97.5%, especially the ground concentration of waste gas is less than from the chimney. Exhausting height of chimney is 300m, while exhausting height of cooling tower is 500m, so the extension range of treated waste gas becomes larger. Ground concentration of sulphide is less than 400mg/m3. Meantime, FRP fume pipe reduces the power consumption and running cost of thermal power plant; knock out the traditional chimney, save the civil construction fee. The application of steam in cooling tower can take away the waste gas, which knocks out the pressure-adding fan, saves equipment fee and running consumption fee of fan.
