Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.
- Q: I want to consider digging a hole for the foundation of an addition with crawl space to my home. This hole would have to be at least 4 feet deep for the frost line and would have to be the perimeter of the addition so 40 or more feet depending on how big of an addition. My question is, what are my options for digging this monster hole?I know I can always do the shovel and pickax route. And I know I can rent a mini excavator for about $200 a day from stores. Does anyone have any other inexpensive ways or some creative ideas that I could use to make this job a little easier?

- That is hard to answer without knowing what you are doing with it. What reach do you need? how much weight will it be lifting? are you loading trucks? what size bucket do you need? A 320 Cat is a smaller excavator where a 330 is closer to a medium size excavator. Th next question is what about parts and service? If your on a production job you need to think about parts and service availability. Would you want a contractor to go and do the job? Write me back and I'll see if I can help.
- Q: hi,my bucket movement is really slow when i try to dig but its ok when i load a truck.So i have a problem with the delay of closing the bucket.My machine is a Caterpillar 325B LN ME.I tried to replace the valve of the hydraulic controller but no use.Does anybody think that i must change a seal kit at the bucket cylinder?
- Hydraulic problems are tough to figure out sometimes, but I believe you're right. It sounds like you have internal leaking in the cylinder. Because it shows up under load. Right now it looks like your only option is to tear down the bucket cylinder. If the piston looks good then you could probably get away with repacking it. But if you see scoring on the piston, then have it repaired before repacking. If not than the same problem will show up again real soon. Hope this helps.

- This is the question that everybody asks me, Don't go with Repti-Carpet, it has tiny holes usually on the sides which means the nails will get caught and have seen toes come off because of it. i use Excavator Clay its good for desert Species and can be molded into land scape's by just adding water, just make sure it drys fully before putting bake your Bearded dragon, hope this helps!!!!!

- Looks way better than my resume at age 17 I tell you that. Here are some suggestions Make your experience description in bullet points similiar to your volunteer and interests. Use action verbs like initiated, lead, pursued.. words that show you are proactive. For example: Construction: - Activity 1 (construction of roofs, floor, ....) - Activity 2 (cleared forest vegetation....) - Responsiblity 1 (list if you had any) - Projects finished 1 (cleared entire section of forest, finished an entire house.. etc..) Do this for each place you have worked. Also, make sure you list your most recent experience at the top because employers will want to see them first. The lines about able to stand for hours, work well alone or with others, motivated, etc.. You can remove them and put it a cover page if you have one. Because they sound cheezy and the fact that EVERYONE says that. Most employers don't even read them. Your objective should be focused. Not bus management, or culinery arts, or retail. Pick one depending on your employer, you should focus on one. This way your resume will seem more directed at the position, rather than a generic resume that you mass produce.
