- Sure, it's fine to have him in a twin bed. If he tends to fall out of bed, you could put a rail on one side and push it against the wall. We never had a toddler bed for my kids, and they were out of the crib anywhere from 18-22 months. They moved straight into a twin or full-size bed.

- Use paint stripper instead. Use a plastic putty knife to scrape off the paint. Then just lightly sand before priming and painting. You know, it would be a lot less work to throw in a bed liner.
