- When I got my ears pierced professionally, they only hurt for a couple days, maybe a week if I messed with them too much. Later, I personally double pierced my earlobes with a sterile needle at home, it's been over a month and it still occasionally hurts when I sleep on it weird. That is my experience, however it depends if they use a gun or a needle, where exactly you have it pierced, and other factors still can change (infections) the amount of healing time. But a good ballpark figure is about 1-2 weeks, but I know people who's pain can last a month.
