Q: 1995 Honda Civic1.6L V-TECH Motor v4This is a good car there is only one problem the engine overheated and melted the plug wires. I replaced the Part but needs to have plug tubes cleaned out due to melted plastic. I need help from a mechanic expert about this as i do not have the tools to do the job but i could get them tools.
unless the melted plastic interferes with the new tubes or spark plugs, there is no reason to try to clean the plastic out. if you can get the plugs out and put new ones in and put the wires on with no problem then just leave the residue in there...it won't hurt anything. you are talking about a major undertaking if you want to remove the tubes to clean them. The valve cover has to come off to get to the tubes and the tubes are usually pressed into the base of the head so the head may have to come off as well. you might want to just pull the wires and try to use a rat-tail file down into the tube to scrape away the excess plastic on the inside of the tube (leave the spark plugs in place if you try this so the filings don't get into the engine). Then use a vacuum cleaner to suck the filings out of the tube before you put the wires back on. I'd recommend that as the best thing to do if the burnt plastic is a concern. Otherwise, I'd leave it alone. hope that helps
Q: I'm trying to hang a picture.
plastic tubes are called raw plugs.... they are for screws. you drill a hole in the wall, and usually the diameter of the hole is too big for the screw thread to bite properly, so hammer one of the plastic tubes into the hole, and then screw in a screw. hey presto it bites solidly and you can hang heavy stuff off it.
Q: There are so many plastic tubes in the beer brewing process, and the cleaner that comes with the kit is not good enough. I was wondering if anyone has any good tips or tricks.
I bought the special cleaner brush for my kit. It's just a rigid pipe cleaner with a 5 ft flexible handle. It's hard to push it into the center of my line, but that combined with soapy water (remember to rinse well!) does the trick for me.
Q: How do plastic tubes compare to rubber tubes in terms of elasticity?
Plastic tubes generally have lower elasticity compared to rubber tubes. While both materials exhibit some degree of flexibility, rubber tubes are known for their superior elasticity, allowing them to stretch and return to their original shape more easily. Plastic tubes, on the other hand, tend to be less stretchable and may not have the same level of elasticity as rubber tubes.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for ventilation systems?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for ventilation systems. Plastic tubes are commonly used in various applications, including ventilation systems, due to their lightweight, cost-effectiveness, and corrosion resistance properties. They can efficiently transport air and are often used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings for ventilation purposes.
Q: I have a hole ins a plastic tube that contains water how do I seal the hole?
You may find that you could A: use a water bed repair patch and than wrap tightly with duct tape or B: get a tube of some silicone like they use to repair aquariums. apply liberally and than wrap with plumbers tape. Let it dry as good as possible before putting any real force to it. Good Luck!
Q: Buried PVC wire tubing (heavy) is a rigid flame retardant tube or a semi rigid flame retardant tube?
Semi hard plastic tube, Department of PVC resin and plasticizer, stabilizer and other auxiliary agent, by extrusion molding, suitable for electrical and fluid conveying pipe casing, can be used to protect the wire and cable etc. under normal temperature. The tube is provided with the length of not less than 10 meters. The colors are white, yellow, red, blue, black and ecru. The pipe connections are generally made of plastic sleeves, glued and bent freely, without heating
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for pneumatic valves?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for pneumatic valves. They are commonly used in various pneumatic systems due to their lightweight, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Plastic tubes are available in different materials such as PVC, polyethylene, and nylon, which offer suitable flexibility and durability for pneumatic applications. However, the specific choice of plastic tube material should consider factors like pressure requirements, temperature range, and compatibility with the intended gases or fluids.
Q: How do you measure the volume of a plastic tube?
To measure the volume of a plastic tube, one can fill it with a known quantity of water or any other liquid and then measure the volume of liquid used. Alternatively, one can calculate the volume by measuring the dimensions of the tube, usually the height and diameter, and using the formula for the volume of a cylinder.
Q: I can't remember any other details of the episode, only that the chemicals they give the patient are so poisonous that it will actually eat through the plastic IV tubing. . . .
I remembered this was from the first season, but couldn't remember details, so I found this....... (1-07) Fidelity December 28, 2004 African trypanosomiasis Two men are out jogging – one of them returns home to his bedridden wife, who lashes out at him. Believing there is something wrong, she is sent to Princeton-Plainsboro, and when all the treatments fail, House concludes she has African sleeping sickness. However, neither the wife nor her husband have ever been to Africa. The woman will die without proper treatment, but neither one will also admit to having an affair. First season, episode 7. :)
