Q:I'm wanting a scaffold piercing so i can wear it with a bar or 2 rings. Could i get it PIERCED with the 2 rings to begin with or do i have to have a bar for the first few weeks/months?: Generally a Scaffold piercing is pierced with a needle and a bar runs through both piercings. You can get it done with BCR's, however it would be much more difficult to align the piercings up because of the curvature of the rings. Also the Scaffold can be pierced with PTFE or BIOPLAST, these are both lightweight and flexible and will take the pressure off of the piercing. You can also have the scaffold done with 2 separate Barbells, but the most common way is with one long Scaffold bar. These are usually around 38mm long and 1.6mm thick. Cartilage piercings can take quite a while to heal, anything from 12 weeks to a year to completely heal. If in any doubt, talk to your piercer first about your options.

You can't sleep on it, you have to be careful with your hair, and you can't change the bar for awhile but other than that it is way worth it! There is minor swelling in the first few days and a little bit of bruising but the small discomfort is small price to pay, now it looks awesome and I'm glad!!

Any ideas?: The second time is like the turning point of the novel i believe. I think it was acceptance and purging. Don't they feel better after that? Its the same principle when Dimmesdale goes through the forest and comes out feeling better. Its the beginning of them purging for their sins. I think that the second time could be labeled as confession, actually Because they all meet up and its discovered that Dimmesdale is an adulterer as well. Q:I'm 15 atm, I want either an industrial piercing now or a scaffold piercing that I can connect later. I may be getting a scaffold piercing instead, seeing as school regulations here probably won't allow a full industrial. It might just be a phase but I've wanted one for a while, and if I don't like it I can always just keep the scaffold piercing if I decide to get that.What I'm wondering is: Are there any people who have an industrial? does it annoy you? does it get infected easily? and how long did it take to fully heal?I'd appreciate all answers, even if you only know someone with one. Thanks in advance.: Very RARELY do piercings actually get infected. There's a host of different irritations and mishaps that can happen to your piercing that will cause redness and swelling and weeping, but they're not really infections. Keeping your piercing clean, and not wearing tight hats, headbands, or helmets, sleeping on your piercing, and just generally babying your piercing will keep it happy and devoid of irritation. As for being annoying, mine is fine, now, but it was kind of a pain when I first got it done. Granted, I got 10 gauge holes punched out of my ear, so my healing was a BIT more involved, but the typical timeframe for a cartilage piercing to heal is at least 6 months. I also got pierced on the side I sleep on, but getting one of those travel pillows works great for sleeping with healing cartilage piercings. Good luck!
