Q: I had my scaffolding piercing 2 days ago, but I was just wondering how long it will take for the swelling to go down? I know because it's a double cartilage piercing, it is likely to take longer to heal and such, but I was just wondering if there was an average time before it goes back to normal?: Mine took about a week, but only the first 4/5 days were really bad. Taking something with ibuprofen or anything meant for swelling or an anti-inflammatory should help :) Don't try ice though, that just made it worse for mine.

Q: I have a cartilage piercing on my right ear and now I want scaffolding. Can they just pierce the other side of my ear (opposite my other cartilage piercing) and put a scaffold bar through my existing cartilage piercing hole and the new piercing hole opposite? Can I then get another cartilage piercing straight underneath the scaffolding? How much does it hurt? Thanks in advance :): an industrial piercing is much different than a helix. a helix is normally pieced from the from to the back of the ear while a helix is pierced from the outside to the inside of the ear. without a picture or seeing it it's hard to say so go to your local professional. piercings don't tickle. the pain shouldn't be a concern.

Q: So I'm going to get a scaffold/industrial piercing, and I had a few questions:-does your ear have to be a special quot;shapequot;? Like I mean does you outer ear cartilage rim have to stick more so it can be pierced?My outer cartilage rim is a little flat but it still sticks up -Would this make my piercing reject?Thanks! :))): You can still get the scaffold done, but it might not take to your body well. You also need to be careful of the piercer that you choose. If your piercer places the bar in the wrong place, it can cause keloids or stress bumps. This might also happen if you don't have the right ear. I got an industrial, and my piercer didn't seem to put the bar exactly where I wanted on one end. Although I took very good care of my piercing, and didn't put any stress on it, I still got a keloid on that side of the ear, and it wouldn't go away. A lot of my friends had beautiful industrials, and I couldn't figure out why mine looked the way I did until I did a little more research, and the keloid appeared because my piercer did not pierce my ear in the correct location. I had to remove the piercing for the keloid to disappear. This might happen to those who don't have ears that are fit for an industrial. If you do decide to get it, please don't mess with it (although it's hard not to). When you sleep, try cupping your hand over your ear so that you don't put pressure on the piercing. :-) If you don't know what side you'd like it on, get it on the side that you sleep on the least. You may get a bit of a stress bump around the piercing, but these tend to disappear once the piercing heals up.

Q: So, my family is moving soon. The school I am in now is very strict about dress code, hair color, piercings and stuff like that. The new school I will be going to is very relaxed. Q: Would like to build a scaffold to use to paint interior of house using common materials (wood, PVC pipe, tubular steel etc) which I can buy at Home Depot and quot;boltquot; together. Top level only needs to be 6ft high to do what I need.......Any ideas or plans....rather than renting or buying a ready made one? Thanks: If you only need the top to be 6' high, why not rent one? Go to a rental yard and rent a baker. It's 6' tall, and has holes in the frame every 6 or so. This allows you to build it on stairs. It's a safe alternative to building your own. Hope this helps.

I go to a tattoo shop to get it??: Places like Claire's don't do those piercings, a tatto or piercing parlor would be the only place that does it. Check online and call in and read reviews before you go anywhere, they have been many places being shut down in USA and Canada for being unsanitary! So make sure your safe because it can perminatly break your cartilage if it's done wrong and you can get mney infections some being deadly and some that leave perminate scars. Make sure it's done safely, sanitary and with a needle. This piercing is more commonaly known as a industrial by the way. 1st of it hurts they all do. This was my most painful piercing ever. Got it done when I was 13, a month before I was 14. Think of it this way: 2 holes being stabbed into your ear connected by a bar. You bump on the other is automatically affected. I would definatly rate it 8.5/10. It was soberly painful. Hurts for a while and healing process is annoying as ever. Worth it for me in my opinion.
