- hahaha yeah its a. The others are ridiculous. As light travels through mediums and distances, the light wave spreads out. A great example of this that you see every day is sunset vs. mid-day. During the afternoon, light waves from the sun and very close together and give off the blue color that you see in the sky. During sunset when the sun is on an angle, the waves are spread out and longer, thus the red color you see. The farther out, the longer or more spread out the light waves can be.

- Air is not as dense as a table or a phone. Particles of the air are far apart from each other than the particles of a table or a phone. Particles of air are very very small so the reflection is not perceivable. If air contains bigger particles say dust particles these are big enough to reflect light that can be seen by our eyes. I don't think electromagnetism has anything to do with the phenomenon.
