- You probably meant a truck-mounted crane. There are industries offering ready-made solutions that work. Have you ever designed a truck or a crane before? It's a challenging engineering task and it can't be improvised. Besides, whatever you design and build will have to undergo extensive testing before being authorized to operate on public roads. The solution would cost more than anyone would care to pay for it. Consider buying a used rig instead.

- You need to be more specific. The lifting capacities for container cranes varies significantly, as does any other crane. Some of the variation is based purely on load (horsepower) availability; some is based on speed (rpm) for lift/drop portions of the cycle. Cranes like these operate year-round, at ports all over the world. Some ports have average ambient temperatures in the range of 45 C, with highs up to 60 C. Others can be as low an average as 10 C, with a low peak as much as -50 C. Moisture will, over the long haul, harm them - they're metal constructs, and thus are prone to oxidation. Using corrosion-resistant materials and/or coatings will certainly prolong their usable lifespan. I presume that your crane truck has the boom hinged quite close to the ground, but I am sure that the specified lifting weights will not be achieved until the boom makes an angle of at least 45 degrees with the ground. The 115 foot boom will then sweep a circle of 115 x cos(45) = 81.3 feet, and lift a maximum of 115 x sin(45) = 81.3 feet above the hinge. If the boom is elevated to a 60 degree angle, the circle swept will be only 57.5 feet, but it will lift 99.5 feet. If the boom is lowered to 30 degrees, the circle swept enlarges, bt the distance lifted drops, and the weight lifting capability will also be derated. If the crane has a tower and the weight rating is for a horizontal boom, the maths are quite different.
